So, my wife tried to downplay that one of my all-time favorite bands was coming to town. I told her we should get tickets. She says that they're too expensive. I'm like, WHAT?
So, yeah, she was really going to try to surprise me with tickets. When I demanded that we buy tickets, she called me a few choice 4 letter words and told me that we already have tickets, JACKASS!
So, yeah, I love her. A LOT!!!!!!
I'll be there. Anybody else going Tuesday Night to the Ford Center? I'll let you buy me a beer, if you are.

I'll be there with my roommate...tickets weren't too bad...I think ours were in the $45/each range...this is a concert I wasn't going to miss, though...should be awesome....
You actually going to be there for the openers (Against Me!)...I can definitely say I won't...that band just isn't my cup of tea....

Is Against Me! the only opener?
I hadn't looked as to whom the opener would be.

Nah...Against Me! is the second opener (or so I would guess)...before them is some no-name...I can re-look it up (I looked it up earlier today, but already forgot who it was)...it's definitely a disappointing list of openers...
I hear Against Me! is pretty decent live, but I just don't like their music...I didn't mind the song "Don't Lose Touch" but it got really old, really fast...
Here's the other opener...they are called Hello Stranger...I'd never heard of them, but decided to at least check out their MySpace...they seem like a little throwback to the older 80s rock with girl front(wo)men...here's the link: http://www.myspace.com/hellostrangermusic

I don't celebrate Against Me!'s catalog, but, these chicks kind of rock. Just a little bit.
I might have to show up early.
Where you going to be? I'll let you catch up on buying me beers.

They(girl band) sound like Veruca Salt.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you where my seats are...my roommate bought them (I want to say section 117, if there is such a thing) and I haven't actually seen the tickets yet...
The chicks do kind of rock...and I agree they sound a little like Veruca Salt (I couldn't think of a good comparison for them, but that one works)...
Maybe we'll show up early...

Holy crap. Topdaug used a punctuation mark. Now if Mr. Colon can just introduce his friend the period, we'd be in business!

Foo fighters put on a great show at "almost accoustic Christmas" a few years back in LA.
I still remember seeing Nirvana at the TnT building (?) at the OKC Fairgrounds, must have been '92. This was like 6 months before Cobain whacked himself.
I remember that music and the message that Nirvana put out, I think Grohl's message with Foo is lighter, but just as good.

Maybe you haven't seen my posts before, but I use plenty of periods...I just generally use them as an ellipsis...I see no issue with that, and as it turns out, I'm actually really good at grammar and know how to properly use punctuation; in case you didn't notice, I used several forms of punctuation in this post, including commas, semicolons, etc...I just use the ellipsis in posts to separate my thoughts and always have...

That might resemble my style, if I actually did put the ellipsis in random parts of the sentence...however, I generally finish a sentence, and then add the ellipsis and move on to the next sentence...it's basically a continuous strain of thought, yet still separated out into sentences and easily readable...
The only "rule of punctuation" that I change is that I use the ellipsis instead of the standard period...
Here's a simple way to do it...when you see the ellipsis, pause, as though there's a period there...that makes it plenty easy to read...

I always figured that "thinking" was a bit of a strain for you goons...but it's nice to hear that you own up to it...;)...:D

I'm really just yankin' your chain, but really, you know where to put the period. Why not just put it there? It's just seriously annoying to read your posts.
The ellipsis is not what you think it is. It's supposed to be used to indicate an inentional omission in a sentence. You might as well use a bunch of random characters to end your sentences&&&&&&&it makes as much sense as what you're doing&&&&&&&
Anyway, my rant is over. I'm obviously not going to change the way you type, but just realize, it makes your posts seem sloppy and lazy. I'll just continue to keep skipping over any topic in which you post.

Thank you all for that enlightening english/punctuation lesson.
Man, I'm so bummed, but it actually works out for the better for my wife. I had to come get her from work this morning. She was throwing up. She couldn't even drive herself home. Got her to the emergency clinic. Severe Kidney Infection. The Doctor said it was so bad that it was the kind that could put her in the hospital? Whatever that means. She had a, how should I say this politely, disgusting sounding urinalysis. So, I have to keep an eye on her and see if she can keep some liquids down. If not, we're off to the hospital. It's been about 20 minutes or so, and so far, she's kept a little water down.
Oh well. I hope Dave gets better. I'd have been pissed to have paid the money for the tickets and finally getting to see them live and to have the show suck because he couldn't hit the notes.

How is K jeremy? Things going better? She keeping liquids down? You need to get her some cranberry juice. No, it's not a old wives tale, doctors always told me to drink it, even when i didn't have a kidney infection.
I hope she's better..:( Tell her i'm thinking about her.

She's not really holding it down, per se. She is to an extent. She'll hold it down for an hour or so.
We're intermixing, a little water, some CranGrape, some Gatorade and some 7Up. All in very small amounts. I made her some Chicken broth, made her some Lime Jello, got her some egg drop soup from her favorite place.
She's had about 4 spoons of soup, and 1 slice of peach. We'll see if she keeps that down.
If she's not better in 24 hours, we're hospital bound. No questions asked.
Sorry to Hi-jack my own thread.
Please continue everybody else.

Not sure i'd wait 24 hours if she's not keeping any of it down. You don't want her to dehydrate.
What antibiotic did they put her on?

Let me look it up. All I have is the generic name. Sulfamethazine? Does that sound right? He prescribed her that, pain pills and the gel stuff to rub on her wrist for nausea. Does that sound about right?

Phenergen (nausea- the wrist)...i wonder why he didn't give her an injection of it..? The antibiotic was also given as a injection, right?
Has she actually been able to take any of the Sulfa? Because that could well be causing her nausea. I can't tolerate the stuff, or keep it down.
