Luther police chief arrested

EDMOND — Luther Police Chief Raymond Ledford was arrested Monday after an Oklahoma County sheriff’s deputy said he found the chief intoxicated and sitting in his vehicle stopped in the wrong lane.
Ledford was arrested on a complaint of actual physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
The 7 p.m. arrest occurred at 15011 E Covell Road in Oklahoma County.
Ledford admitted to the deputy and other witnesses at the scene that he had been drinking beer all day, according to a sheriff’s department report.
The chief was treated at the scene for low blood sugar before he was taken to the Oklahoma County jail.
