Is anyone planning on adopting a player this year?
If so, who? There should still be time to get your custom-made jersey by the opener!

I still got Richetti!
I want Justin Blackmon. I meet him when my basketball team played Plainview a couple of years ago.

I've never really adopted a player (co-adopted Steve Mocco) but never got my own jersey and all. If I adopt one, I would like to either a hometown guy, maybe one that doesn't have a family that can travel or somebody that isn't as well known. I'm not sure if i'll do it this year, but I will definitely get one for Collin next year if they make jerseys in baby sizes.

You have a couple of great choices, Memphis and me. He has family that can't travel; I have no family but a dog that refuses to travel. Neither of us is "well known" outside this board, but we both have all our years' eligibility left. We will make you proud!:food-smiley-004::officechair:

Spud is still good for three years unless he leaves after his junior year...which will probably happen.:music-smiley-005:

BBB just reminded me that this is Spud's junior year but assures me that he will not be leaving. He says I'm not a very good fan. Last year was the first time I adopted a player, and Spud never came over to the wall after games.
For the last couple of years, I co-adopted Ricky Price with Chris Whitley (who doesn't seem to come here any more, darn him.) I'll miss Ricky--he's a great kid.
I'm at a loss for what to do this year. It's hard to adopt a player when you don't live close enough to be there to cheer for him.

you can still buy a jersey & wear it at home & watch parties!
