Anyone familiar with gps devices or systems to place on equipment (ie. tractors, trailers) that will help monitor the equipments whereabouts 24/7 via the internet or cell phone systems?

I have used worldtracker (tm) and trackingtheworld.com. Very reliable, very accurate in 15 second intervals and can track on either mapview or on google earth.
I forgot what the unit cost me, something like 189, then the service was like 69 for 6 months.
It served my purpose :) I still have it it but don't use it anymore.

AlteMere has a system they can install pretty cheap.
You can set up a perimeter and it will alert you if the vehicle leaves the area. You can get real time location updates as well.
I don't recall it being all that expensive.
It's called SysLocate, and we were considering using it on the kids car, but we haven't had reason to,,,,,yet.
