STILLWATER — Only the All-College Classic opponent is yet to be announced on Oklahoma State's men's basketball non-conference schedule, which the school released Monday.

Other games include a trip to Stanford for the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series, a pair of games on Thanksgiving weekend in Las Vegas and the Cowboys' first game in Tulsa since 2003.

The All-College Classic will be held Dec. 21 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, adding yet another in-state game to OSU's schedule that includes eight non-conference contests at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

"This schedule is an extremely well-balanced schedule," said second-year OSU coach Travis Ford. "We play in the Las Vegas Invitational, which will be very challenging early. It also includes some tough road games — at Stanford, Tulsa and Rhode Island — that will be challenging to a team that is relatively very young."

Maybe one day we will get some good teams in Stillwater.

Stanford, Utah/Illinois are all good...would have been nice to get one of those at GIA. Bradley finished 3rd or 4th in the MVC. Tulsa finished a distant 2nd to Memphis in C-USA. Good to see UTSA and Brooks Thompson coming back.

There is not one solid non-conference home game. Three Southwestern Atlantic teams (only one of which had a record over .500 last season)? UNT did ok in the Sunbelt, but geez.

Is it really that hard to get decent non-conference teams to play in Stillwater on a regular basis? I wish we would do more home/home series with good teams. It's a start with Tulsa, but I want some bigger names.

It's not the most exciting non conference home schedule.

Why would they schedule a home game on opening day of rifle season??? Don't they know that's deer killin' time?

UNT did beat us two years ago, so don't overlook them.

True that. And Florida Atlantic beat us at home several years ago. Florida Atlantic, UNT, and teams from smaller conferences usually get hammered here though, but sometimes do break through for a win. I understand the need for scheduling some creampuffs, but would also like to see a few 'name' teams. My big beef is that when we do play a good team (Tenn, Pitt, Gonzaga, etc.), it's usually in Tulsa or OKC. We have gotten some good teams like Cincy to Stillwater, but those are few and far between.

Heck, freaking OU gets good teams to Norman. Just last year, they had Davidson (ok, maybe they scheduled them before Curry got there, but still an Elite 8 team the year before), Utah, and USC. I think they're doing a home/home with Arkansas. They've also had UCONN, TCU, and Villanova come to town within the last handful of years. What are they doing that we aren't?

The only two big non conference teams I have EVER seen in GIA were Cincy to open the season and Fresno State during the Tarkanian days.

We had UW here, when they were in a down year.

I agree we haven't blown anyone away with our home schedule, and now with the BOK Center, I suspect that'll be another place where we send another marquee non-conference game.
