What do you have planned for Father's Day and Father's Day weekend? I would love to see pictures from your Father's Day activities. I will try to share some myself.

This my second Father's Day without Dad. I miss him so and he, more than anyone else, was proud of my weight loss. I kind of think he is smiling knowing I have put my health first and am feeling and looking better.

Hopefully, this weekend I can cook out. We plan on seeing the Redhawks and Chris on Saturday. We might try a new place in Bricktown. What's a good suggestion on where to eat? I might try to see the Transformers 2 movie also. Other than being with family, not much else is planned.

Hallie made reservations for the three of us for brunch on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, followed by an afternoon at the Long Beach aquarium.

(We're actually skipping church for the festivities. I cleared it in advance with my boss, the Music Minister, and we scheduled an anthem with no high notes, since I'm the only first soprano in the choir. Ha!)

I'm sure we'll have dinner at my parents house. And of course watch golf.

Fan, you ought to try the Melting Pot - it is a bit expensive but VERY good.

I hated the melting pot. It was WAY too expensive for the servings we got, plus WAY too long of a wait. I just didn't have a good experience at all and will never go back. Too hoyty toyty for me too.

Sorry you had such a bad experience there. We had made reservations ahead of time and hubby paid extra to have roses on the table for me when we got there. We did the meal for two thing where you got cheese fondue, the oil fondue with the meat, salad, and the chocolate fondue and it was more than enough food.

Bourbon Street Cafe(crawfish et' toufee) and Mickey Mantel's(steak) are my two favorite resturaunts in Bricktown. The Melting Pot is really expensive, but good.

OSUfan-I too lost my father about 15 years ago. I still miss him. It does get easier with time though. Sorry for your loss. I've been playing golf alot lately and that really makes me miss him as he was an avid golfer and as a young boy he would take me on all of his trips and sometimes let me play, or caddy for him. Good memories, and those memories make me feel like he's still here.

I'll be going to play golf Saturday morning in a memorial tournament for one my friends that passed away, then that night a memorial concert to see Stoney Larue and Jeff Hobbs and the Jacks at the Arbuckle ballroom, then back home to Edmond late that ngiht. Then breakfast in bed on Sunday, gifts from the girls and swimming that afternoon, and then dinner and a movie that night with the wife in Bricktown. Still deciding on which resturaunt to go to though.

I love my girls. Addison,8 and Bella, 3. The apple of my eyes.
