Interesting get
That college is just down the road from Yorba Linda. A lot of kids from our high school do a year or two there before they go on to a university.

He was a qb his whole life. He was 6'4, 165 in high school. He is now 215. I guess Brewer saw enough talent there to take him. He counts towards 2009. A wide receiver with 4 years to play 3.

RA has a bit more about him on his site, if you're interested...
here's an excerpt.
It was in May that Oklahoma State added NEO A&M offensive lineman Levy Adcock, and now the Cowboys have added a wide receiver in Dameron Fooks out of Fullerton C.C. in California.
Fooks is a 6-3, 210-pound receiver, who admits that he has not run a forty since he was in high school, so his speed is a little of an unknown.
It is known that he can catch the ball at the junior college level as he had 20 receptions for 302 yards last season as a freshman. That's an average of 15.1 yards per catch. He had five touchdowns and his longest reception covered 44 yards

This is just me guessing, but I'm assuming this guy will play the other wideout where Conner plays to add depth. I think they are using Blackmon more at the slot than the wideout

Sounds like we got an athlete if he was a very good backup QB in high school and played at WR and DB.

UCLA expected him to visit them during a Saturday practice back in April.

Santa Fe is blessed with two outstanding QBs. Backp Dameron Fooks would start for a lot of southland teams. Until next season, tho', he'll play a lot of wide receiver and defensive back.http://www.insidesocal.com/murray/2006/08/best_qb_too_early_to_tell_but.html

I meant a "list of names" of cocks, oops ... jocks, but you knew that.
If you really want to know, I thought I had deleted that extra "o", but I believe I got distracted and failed to push that damn save button again.

I learned the hard way not to ever make fun of the last name of a man, a woman or a child.
Many years ago while coaching a youth baseball team, a player whose last name was Fuch was assigned to my team. My comment to my assistant coach was not heard by the child, but his father just happened to be standing behind us. He didn't have to say a damn word to me about my wise crack comment, and he didn't. He just induced himself to us, and I have never forgotten that moment in time.
Since that day I can honestly say I have never made light or fun of an individual's last name regardless how it may sound or look.

That reminds me of a Vietnamese cowrker of mine who was named Phuc Ngo.

Again, the name was, Fuch. I really don't remember what I said exactly. I may have just said the last name aloud and compared it with another similar sounding and looking word with a laugh and a smirk.
What I did was much like what is being done here with this young man's last name. A young man who we know very little about and whom we want to be part of our OSU family.

Yep, the exact year has been lost in my memory, but I can still see myself standing on that southeast ballfield behind the OKC Elks Lodge on North Tulsa.
