OSU Notebook: Double feature

Marcus Dove flirted with his first career double-double in a loss at Iowa State. The senior forward produced 17 points and nine rebounds.
"I thought he played good, but he took (a career-high) 18 shots and only scored 17 points," coach Sean Sutton said. "If he's going to take that many shots, he's got to score more than that. But he's playing hard."
Until Saturday, Dove had never scored a point in any game against the Cyclones.
Injury update: Freshman guard James Anderson, who suffered an ankle injury Tuesday at Baylor, played 26 minutes and scored four points on 1-of-5 shooting.
"Somehow we've got to get James going," Sutton said. "He can't go on the road and score one basket. We are not that talented where one of our key players can go on the road and have that type of performance. I don't know if his ankle is still bothering him or I think he has probably lost some confidence. Iowa State did a good job of defending him, but he had some looks and we've got to get him going. He's too important to this team."
Anderson estimated that he is 70 or 80 percent healthy.
"I couldn't really cut like I wanted to, but I'm not going to use that as an excuse," he said. "(I'll) just try to get healthy this evening and tomorrow and try to be ready for Monday."
Fresh lineup: OSU started three freshmen for the second time this season. Anderson and Ibrahima Thomas are regulars in the lineup. Nick Sidorakis started in place of Byron Eaton, who missed recent practices due to illness.
Fool play: Eaton fouled out in 24 minutes, fouling out for the second time in two career trips to Hilton Coliseum. Thomas fouled out in 14 minutes.
Despite Thomas playing so few minutes, the Cowboys permitted the Cyclones to grab only two offensive rebounds.
Seeing flurries: Obi Muonelo, who is capable of scoring points in bunches, scored seven in a 49-second span to jolt OSU out of a second-half offensive lull.
