I have found what seems to be a god deal on a factory refurbished I-Pod with a one year warranty. I was wondering if anyone had every gotten one or heard any positive or negative about them?

My wife bought 2 for my daughters with the same type of deal. Haven't had any issues.

How long have they had them and are they going through the usual wear and tear that kids and teens can put stuff through?
Thanks for the info.

She bought them back in August or so. The only thing that broke was one of the ear phones came apart. My wife filled out the online form and the new ones were at the door the next day. As far as use, my 9 yr old listens to hers constantly. They have been very good.

we bought refurbished nanos for our girls and my husband and they have been great. no problems. he uses his mostly in the car with a fm transmitter and my oldest uses hers all the time.

when i was looking into it, the only thing i read was to buy them from apple, not someone else who refurbishes, to insure you get the best quality - this from a third party.

apple employee told me in order for them to refurbish they have to be returned within a certain time frame and be in a certain condition.

As long as you're buying it from Apple, refurbished should be almost as good as new. The only difference I could tell was the box was a plain brown box instead of the fancy one. Everything else looked as good as new. I've had mine for a few years with no problems.
