Congratulations to the clock operator, that running clock I believe allowed almost everyone to make it to their cars before the deluge.

QB play.
Heard many people making comments that Weeden played well, but I thought he had a below average performance and that Cate out played him in this round of the competition. IMO too many situational things, last play for example, only hope was too throw it up for grabs and he instead tryed to juke Ugo and took a sack ending the game.

It was great allowing Weeden and Cate the opportunity but over the Summer Robinson really needs work with the Receivers, his timing must be improved.

RB
With Hunter attending his sister's wedding it provided additional opportunity for several of our backs. Toston showed really well, and Kye Staley impressed with his toughness and receiving hands. Pratt for a HS senior with limited practices was impressive as well. Travis has speed but not of the elusiveness of Savage or Hunter.

Receivers
Mosley and Horton will be the receiving TEs our blocking will be by committee, Anyiam gets open but hands are not as good as Davis' were. Blackmon should eventually be the solid number 2 to Dez.

Martin played very well at Safety, pair him with Victor Johnson and we could have the best Safety play in 15 years. Antoine would be little drop off and Thomas contributes as well.

Cox has improved and needs to continue that over the Summer. We might be best off using him on the #2 receiver and doubling with a safety on our opponents #1 with our other CB.

Punting is like the oil business, boom or bust. Sharp will need help over the Summer to improve technique to obtain that upside consistency.

While the O-Lines were mixed, the D did get more pressures than in the past so that was a very strong positive.

The Juco linemen have ability but I would redshirt them all otherwise we will see them for only a few plays and waste a scholarship year.

Overall, Mike and staff have a lot of nice film to both illustrate positives as well as to show where the team and individuals can improve.

I too thought Weeden didn't play that well, but I thought he was still much better than Cate. Weeden needs to be named the #2 guy.

Nigel Nicholas has the makings of a great DT. He needs to add more weight and experience, but he's an exciting freshman in a NEED position.

Markelle Martin will hit you, and stood out.

Donald Booker, Broderick Brown, Jerimiah Price, and many others stood out to me on defense. The lines played pretty well it seemed.

The defense was very vanilla, as you know Georgia had spies there.

Horton will be a mismatch for teams. I like him a lot!
Staley and all the running backs ran hard. Anyiem was the best of the receivers, but Blackmon just didn't get many balls thrown his way. Conner played very well in my opinion.

All in all, its what you want in a spring game. Vanilla. Defense playing well for the most part. Lots of young guys getting action.

A great tailgate, wonderful weather for the run in the morning, and then the sun breaking out aroun 4pm. Wonderful day as we were there from 8am till 8pm.

See you all in September.
