Ok, so i'm finally getting my trucked OSU pimped. We just haven't had the time to do it. I had my leather OSU seats installed in my truck in OKC on monday. I have it back now. (they look AWESOME) The embroidery place has the leather material for my headrests. They are doing the embroidery this morning, and then i'll take my truck back to OKC this afternoon to have them installed. All four headrests will have Pistol Pete on them. The door panels (where the leather inserts are) will have "Go Pokes" on them. Some pieces in my truck are being painted orange pearl now. (Bezel around the shifter, around the stereo, etc)

I don't want to go for too much. I want it looking good, not tacky.

Oh yea, i also ordered custom OSU floor mats with a OSU logo and my name.

I'll post pictures when its all finished.

I'm curious as to whom you used for the custom embroidery. A friend of my wife's husband owns a company that does custom leather seats. Think aftermarket leather for cars that didn't come with factory leather. They also have an embroidery machine that I've talked to them about doing some embroidery, or OSU logos on my headrests and then gray leather with orange piping on my seats. I'm just wondering if you used the same guy that I know.

National Auto in OKC did my seats. The embroidery was done by a local shop that does all my embroidery work.

O.K. That's not the guy I was thinking of. Anybody else, go see Eric at leatherseats.com and tell them that Jeremy sent you. They have their shop over on Shields. They are really good and have displays at SEMA and have quite a few "show" cars on the circuit.

Sorry, shameless plug. You can delete it if you want/need to.

I still want/need some custom pinstriping. I really would like to "mirror" or copycat your truck. Seeing as they're almost identical.

I thought about going with the orange piping, but i didn't. I went with full blown ORANGE inserts.

I think your interior is grey as well, right Jeremy? I went with the grey leather with orange inserts. It really looks good together. The stitching is orange on the grey as well.

I'll post pixs soon. I want to get it finished first.

And i can still put some osu pinstripes on your titan as well. Just holler when you're ready. I'll have to order more stripe for bill to make.

Florida's is a one of a kind. Complete makeover from the frame up. Show quality. Exterior-interior. You'll see pixs when its done. His blows mine away. He went all the way. A little hint though...

there won't be another like it... in the world.

*grin*

Mine you can see when it's finished in a few days.

I can't help you with mine. Annie and her hubby have it in their shop in pieces and it isn't in picture taking mode yet.

But I don't mind telling you what it will be when done.

I imported directly from Japan a very rare Toyota BJ-44.

The BJ's are like the old jeep looking FJ's of old, except they are diesel engine based, and the steering wheel is on the right.

What makes the 44 so rare is it has a longer wheel base and the soft top has ambulance style doors in back.

I will leave the after pictures to Annie, but here is what she looked like before:

Coming along really good. It's going to really be worth the wait. A lot of work, but one of a kind when finished. He'll have the only one like it. I can't wait to see his face when it's done.

Lewis:

When Annie and Bill finish with my BJ-44 project, I will probably have to give up my current baby, a 74 Bronco that I have spent almost a decade restoring.

We bought extra pieces inside (shifter, door panel bezels, stereo bezels, etc) that have been painted orange pearl, but aren't installed yet. Florida's BJ44 will be finished before i get to finish mine.

The stripes aren't painted, but will be. They are OSU orange, and my hubby made them. I didn't have to pay to use the Pete logo, b/c the place i use for all my embroidery work pays the fee to OSU to use the logo.

When all of this here is said and done, hopefully i'll get to get away for a few days to come and visit you, and i'll just bring you some.

Bill has many vehicles that he's painted in the hot rod magazines, and many more competeing on car show circuits. He's top notch, definitely one of the top guys. When FP's 44 is done, there will be none like it. When finished, i'll post pictures from start to finish. It's taken us awhile, but on something like this it just takes some time. You don't want someone that is going to rush through it just to collect a check. Bill just doesn't do things that way.

I talked to the guy doing the seats and interior, and he's pretty hyped to get to work on it. He's very well known for his work on show cars as well, and we feel like we have the best guy doing it.

You can rent a mule part of the way, then take a stagecoach to town.

Yes, most of the roads to Clinton are at least paved on one side of the road going in or going out. Dust can be a problem, especially if you get behind another car or the other direction is unpaved and there is a lot of traffic.

I remember when I was a LITTLE kid (probably pre 1965) riding on a road where only one of the 2 lanes was paved. My mom told me it was so the farmers could get their crops and livestock to the city without damaging them so the lane heading in was paved, but the trucks would come back empty so dirt was good enough. She told me it was why it was called a "Farm to Market" road. Maaaan, I haven't thought of that in probably 30 years. Thanks Legal!

LOL It may have just been a shi##y road.
