Just got an LG Vu ordered today. Should get it in a couple of days.

I've read mixed reviews on phonescoop.com and phonedog.com.

Does anybody here own one?

Any likes and/or dislikes about it.

Just curious if anybody here owns one and what they thought about it.

I just refuse to. Although it's only $49 dollars more. Here's the thing. The new I-Phone will be out in June or July....then, maybe.

the vu's data plan is also $15 cheaper than the iphone. My brother and dad got the vu recently, they seem to like it. Just like the Samsung Eternity it's a good phone if you want some things like the iphone, but don't expect it to do everything the iphone does.

And I'm with you sea, no iphone for me!

I've had a VU for about 8 months. I like it. I'm too ham handed to use the touch screen QWERTY keyboard, but other than that it's a great phone. I didn't spring for the TV package, but the internet videos look good.

The Eternity is basically the Vu on steroids...that's an awesome phone, and teh Samsung Impression will be just that much better than the Eternity, because it will have a slide-out keyboard...Samsung makes a great phone as well...

I'll be getting the Samsung Dash when it comes out for Sprint...

i have a VU and like it but don't do well on the QWERTY keyboard either. however i think it is just as much a reflection on my typing skills as anything else. I am not big on all the apps and stuff so i can't vote on that stuff.

Well, I guess I was confused on what got ordered for me.

I ended up with the Samsung Impression. Pretty cool phone so far, but, my mother-in-law cancelled the old sim card from the old phone. Unless I can figure out how to blue tooth all my old contacts to my new phone, it's going to be done one by one. Shouldn't take too long though, I only have about 150+ to transfer. Oh joy!

Just because the sim is no longer registered doesn't mean you can't still get the contacts off of it...you generally just can't make calls with it...

Oh, and the Impression seems like a badass phone...does it also do the MobileTV? Because if so, that would take the list up to three phones that have that capability (the only two out right now that do it are the Vu and the Eternity, unless the Impression also does it)...it looks like it could be a pretty damn impressive phone...again, I really like the types of phones that Samsung produces...

Also, depending on which kind of phone you used to have, you can just do a copy all to the new sim (basically, take the sim card out of the new phone, put it in the old one, take all the contacts from the phone and plug them in using a copy all)...you should be able to easily get your old contacts without any real hang-ups...

Oh, and Sea, check your messages...

The LG Viewty was the precursor to the VU that's available here. Available in Europe and Japan it has a 5.0 megapixel camera attached to it with an image stabilizer. I wonder why they dropped that cool feature for a 2.0 mp when they gave us the VU?
