Is Vicki not in ICU? That doesn't sound like the ICU room numbers. My dad spent 3 months at integris, most of if in icu. You can PM me if you want. Thanks.

No...she's not in ICU...like intensive care, but it's called intermediate care. She'll be watched more here than on a regular floor, but not as closely as ICU.

Did that make any sense at all? :) :rollseyes:

Yes, complete sense. Dad was also on an intermediate care floor for about 5 days. Then one day, they decided there were not enough patients for the floor to stay open and transfered him to general care(step down after intermediate care). I was not very happy about that at all. Dad had previous brain injury (lack of O2 because of heart attack) with results of short term memory loss. Was not your typical patient on a general care floor.

I personally think, from the information given, that Vicki needs to be in ICU. I hope I'm wrong. I know ICU can be a scary place but you can't beat the nurse to patient ratio. The 5th floor ICU is where Dad spent about 6wks. Great nurses and clinical director. It's not a care specific floor (i.e. heart only, etc).
