OSU's Riley named Big 12 women's basketball player of the week

Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley has been named the Big 12 women's basketball player of the week.
Riley scored 45 points in the Cowgirls' 82-63 win over then-sixth-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday. She averaged 35.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game in two wins last week. The Cowgirls improved to 14-1 on the season and 2-0 in Big 12 play.
The 5-foot-5 sophomore guard scored 26 points on an 11-of-18 effort from the field against Kansas. Her point total against Oklahoma was the second-highest in Big 12 and school history, and the most points scored by a Cowgirl inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
In the OU game, Riley, from Dallas, had career highs for field goals (12), field goal attempts (23), free throws made (17) and free throws attempted (21). She also matched her career high with four 3-pointers on seven attempts. Riley finished with two assists, three steals and zero turnovers in the game.
