It wasn't the officitating folks...it was us having NO 6'10" , 275 lb.
man that can rebound, shoot, and chew gum and walk at the same time
kind of CENTER...

Our boys did the best they could with the team that got'em to the dance!!

I agree. We really need a wide body in the 4 or 5 slot to help. Wish the Wonder Twins had some eligibility left ... they would have abused Blair

However, if the refs had called the game more tightly then we might have stood a chance of being able to stay in the lane & rebound. As it was, we were just shoved aside. But you are right, 280lbs is a lot of space to make up/weight to carry around on your back/jump over............

Jbug, this was my dad's mantra about OSU basketball in the 70's and 80's. He passed in 1989 so he never got to see Big Country play but I think he would have enjoyed it.

Speaking of Big Country, it's too bad we haven't had another find like that. I guess with the internet and recruiting boards, if there were a 6-11, 270 lb. kid with soft hands from Slapout that could play a little, we would still hear about it.

Sure sorry he didn't get to see Big Country develop. I have to admit I
watched him from day one and I thought at first he'd never make it.
But little by little he got there.
If I could wish one thing for Ford ( us ) it would be to find that big
man that could walk in and hit the court like Big Country in his
last year :^) .

It sure seems with what Ford has coming back, and with what he
has recruited for next year that the only missing piece is the BIG ONE!!
