Rocklahoma names many of event’s bands

PRYOR — Rocklahoma, the 1980s heavy metal music festival to be held here July 9-12, has announced 32 of the more than 90 bands that will be playing at the outdoor event.
Signed on to appear are Twisted Sister, Great White, Vixen, Saxon, Hurricane Alice, Helix, Danger Danger, Warrant, Night Ranger, Gypsy Pistoleros, Nelson, KEEL, KIX, Bang Tango, Beautiful Creatures, LA Guns, Britny Fox, Faster Pussycat, Lillian Axe, Dirty Penny, Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell and Bonfire, Icon, Baton Rouge, Lord Tracy featuring ex-Pantera vocalist Terry Glaze, Silent Rage, Warrior, Pair-a-Dice, Julliet, Wild Street and Vougan.
More bands are to be announced in coming weeks.
The third annual festival will be held at Catch the Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor. The event will have 6,200 assigned and numbered seats, as well as general admission on the lawn for more than 50,000 people. The grounds feature 4,000 campsites, on-site parking, bathroom facilities and a convenience store.
Rocklahoma offers one-day and four-day general admission passes, along with V.I.P. passes that include all food and drink.
