On the radio they said it was a sell-out, with a lot of peple standing around without seats. So much for Coales boast about it being all ou, it is 80% Orange!

6,600 more fans than they have EVER had at a Cowgirl basketball game!
WAY TO GO OSU FANS! I'm very happy for Budke and the girls. They wanted this. Kirk told Ryan he really hoped the fans would show up for the girls. And they DID!

How does C. Paris only have two fouls?
Good question. And in my days of hoops she would have only thrown that elbow at me once.

Did you ever think you'd see the Cowgirls wipe the floor with OU in front of 13,000 plus rowdy fans?
I'm very proud right now~!

Wow, I just got back from both games. First off, WOW, the crowd was awesome for the girls' game. There were quite a few pockets of crimson, but they didn't have much to cheer about tonight. Our girls were absolutely pumped up for the game and didn't give an inch to the sooners. Way to go! Andrea Riley! OU had NO answer for her, none, squanto. She just had her way with them. Beautiful.
The guys played inspired today. It was good to watch. When Obi had his 3 point barrage, Tech finally called a timeout. Our newest assistant coach ran out on the court and was chest bumping the whole team. I hadn't seen such passion in the team this year until that moment. I hope we're turning it around!
I hope we can support the women better from now on. Budke sounded a bit emotional when he talked about the crowd on the post game interview. He said the team doesn't need sellouts every game, but would really like to see 5-6-7k consistently...he said the crowd meant the world to the girls tonight.
What a good day for OSU basketball!

Just got back from both game myself. First off, the boys played and inspired game. I thought Thomas really shined in this game. They played the toughest defense and did not just settle for the trey.
The girls were great. They played some clamp down defense also. Even though Courtney got her double double, it did not come easy. If the refs wouldn't gave her an extra 10 fouls to use and never called walking she would not of got what she did. Megan and Corderia (sp?) did a great job. What can you say about Riley's performance other than WOW!

I agree about Thomas in the boys game, he played really well. And I loved it when the coach ran out bumping the guys. I hope this is a sign of things to come with the boys team.
Now as to the girls game......."They showed up to play basketball, We showed up to kick thier @$$!!!!!" I also never thought I'd see the day when we had more people at a girls game. And Andrea Riley - 45 points, she was just unstoppable.

This game can change the program, as much as I dislike ou, they have a great women's bball program. Beating them, handily, can set a tone for the rest of the season, and help Budke build a very special program.
I hope we see 5 to 6,000 fans on Wend. if we support this team, they will not lose at home.

yea, I think that was the first women's game I ever have watched. Now with the women's soccer, if the men's bball can play like today the rest of the season, we might get a respectable ranking in the Sears trophey rankings

There are games when someone is in the "zone"; tonight was one of them. Haven't seen anything that entertaining since Randy Rutherford was popping treys against KU on the road back in the last century.

I also am very proud. I just got back from both games and Joe's. It was an amazing day, I could not be happier for both of our teams and our fans for how they showed up for both games and gave it thier all. Hopefully I will have my voice back for class on Monday. I got to GIA at 7:45 this morning and got home at 11 and it was so great. Any day you can were orange is great, but today was extra special.

Wow,what a night. Just got back from GIA,and yes it was all it was supposed to be. Hugh, loud crowd(record crowd) wearing lots of Orange, and just from the start, you just knew it was gonna be one of them special nights,as the girls jumped out early and never looked back. Scary Hole was beside herself at times, using frequent time outs, and as far as Courtney Paris, yes she does get away with alot, alot of uncalled walks, but that was not the difference to me anyway, getting the fouls on Plummley was a key,and mostly our girls just wanted it more,as they out hustled the squats from the opening tip. A very solid performance from the team, and then it was so cool afterwards,as me and my little girl got the entire teams autographs on a poster, and while doing so,many of the girls were so appricative of the fans for coming. A very special night, from a very special OSU team. And yes Riley did almost ourscore the squats by herself :)
