Did anyone else notice the announcers talking about Griffin this and Griffin and that and how awesome of a game he's had and then say, "Oh, Anderson with 37 points has done pretty good too!!!!!" That just kind of got my blood boiling!!!! Anderson did that well without the protection of the refs!!! Think how poorly Griffin would do if he was called for just half the charges, over-the-backs, shoves, etc... He would probably be averaging less than 12-15 minutes a game then!!!

Final Stats:

Griffin (Pts: 33, Reb: 14, Ast: 2, assists from refs: 170, FOULS: 173, net fouls: 3 )

Anderson (Pts: 37, Reb: 1, Ast: 1)

I thought the same thing when I saw the Oklahoman headline "Blake Griffin too much for Cowboys".

Blake leaves me with the impression that he's the president of his own fan club. Know what I'm saying?

I just THOUGHT Obama was the new messiah. According to the announcers, apparently that title belongs to BG. Jeez they wouldn't shut up. I sincerely hope he fails miserably in the NBA.

I was more upset about the score, losing by 4 you know, then what the talking heads say.

the refs did stink though.

First, I dislike our team losing to the gooners, anytime. Second, despite all of the hoopla, Blake is definitely big time. He is an Oklahoma kid that is going to make it big in the pro arena. That said, I believe Anderson will make it even bigger. We may be a little surprised at how many of our kids actually (eventually) make it to the next level... Go Cowboys!!!

and I hope he does it in OKC!! I would love nothing more than to watch the guy fail in front of the OKC media. I don't anna wish bad things on the Thunder, but....

I loved how impressed they were with every dunk. Who would have thought a 6'10" guy could actually jump up and do mediocre dunks? Tony Allen, Joey Graham, and especially Desmond Mason used to do dunks that were much more impressive, but they didn't finish them with a 5 second Frankenstein stare each time.

I'll say it again, BG will not live up to the hype in the NBA. He'll blend in with the crowd. That blank stare will be for different reasons when he gets to the league. As in " I can't believe Kobe just bounced a dunk off my head, I think I have a concussion".

I actually heard Deano calling for Thunder management to ask coaches to throw games so they don't lose the number 1 draft pick. I know that BG would be good for the Thunder from a marketing standpoint, but the hidden reason is really that the local goon media knows that he won't stand out in any other market.

If OU has a good anything, it's their sports PR and marketing departments. Those guys should consider getting into politics.

And again, how can a number 2 seed in a league tourney be a number 1 seed in the national tourney. That just ain't right.

I don't know...how does Pitt or UConn seem to get a 1-seed? Both of them aren't the 1 seed in the Big East...oh, and Louisville, who was the 1-seed in the Big East tourney, might not get a 1-seed in the NCAA...it's about the entire body of work and not just the conference season...

I just find it so curious that all of my Sooner friends were bawling their eyes out about the way the media portrayed Tim Tebow, yet none of them have any qualms about the way the national press has been kissing the Griffin family's ass the past three months.

Seriously - if the federal government received one dollar for every time Mrs. Griffin's hideous mug graced a television screen in the past week alone, then it would have a billion dollar surplus right now.

You are right, that loss to Arkansas should be enough to eliminate anyone from being a #1 seed.

The moment I hear a commentator say:

"You are a better person for having spent 5 or 20 minutes with Blake Griffin"

is when I'll believe he's getting the Tebow love (take out Blake Griffin and replace it with Tim Tebow, and it's a quote that was made by one of the awful commentators during the BCS National Championship game)...for the most part, the commentators seem to stick to what Griffin does well on the court, whereas with Tebow, it was always more about what he does well off the field and how you're a better person for saying "hello" to the guy...

Yeah, I wish they would talk more about Blake dressing up as a woman off the court.

That's why nobody talks about what he does off the court!!!! Blake is a thug playing thug ball at thug U. If he did 1/2 the things Tebow does on and off the playing surface, maybe they would mention it then.
