So how did we end up in 7th after beating Kansas State?

I think I understand it after looking through all the tie-breakers. :stupe:

First off, since UT, OSU & TAM all tied the first tie breaker goes to Texas because they had a better overall record in the south. Then Texas is compared against KSU and since KSU won the head-to-head, they get the tiebreaker and the 4th seed. Texas then gets the 5th seed and we go to the tiebreakers again between TAM & OSU.

Head-to-head is even, division record is even, so the last tiebreaker compares how each team did against the top team and down from there. Both teams lost to KU and were sweep by oU but TAM beat Missouri and we got screwed by the refs in that game and lost. Hence the tie breaker goes to TAM and we're a 7th seed.
