With the win, the No. 11 Cowboys improved to 8-1, while Oregon State dropped to 5-3.

Andrew Oliver picked up his third win of the season with a six inning effort against the Beavers. The junior southpaw worked six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, and also fanned seven. He has struck out at least seven in each of his three starts.

Freshman Randy McCurry earned his fourth save by pitching a scoreless ninth.

Doug Kroll was 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Tom Belza went 4-for-5 against the Beavers.

OU clips UCLA: The No. 16 Sooners came back from a 2-0 deficit against visiting UCLA (2-8) and posted a 6-5 victory at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

OU (10-3) tied the game and eventually took the lead in the bottom of the sixth with six runs, three off the bat of Bryant Hernandez who belted Matt Grace's pitch over the fence.

Notre Dame edges ORU: Cole Johnson only allowed one hit in six innings as Notre Dame defeated Oral Roberts 2-1 on Friday at the Academy Sports and Outdoors Rice Classic at Reckling Park in Houston.

The Golden Eagles dropped to 5-2 overall, while the Fighting Irish improved to 4-3 on the season.

Notre Dame scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning, as Jeremy Barnes lined a two-out hit to right field to drive in the runner.
