STILLWATER -- Andrea Riley, Oklahoma State's leading scorer, has been suspended for Saturday's women's basketball game against Nebraska, the school announced in a press release today.

The junior guard was suspended for a violation of team rules, coach Kurt Budke announced. Budke had no further comment in the press release, and the school indicated he wouldn't comment on the situation.

Riley has led OSU in scoring in its last 13 games and in 23 of the Cowgirls' 28 games overall. She averages 23.6 points per game.

OSU is 15-13 overall and 4-11 in Big 12 games. The Cowgirls are on a four-game losing streak and have lost eight of their last nine.

OSU faces Nebraska at 6 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena. It's the Cowgirls' final home game of the season.

the NCAA telling her she needs to sit down, the coaching staff telling her to sit down, you'd think she would start to listen at some point.

she's just hurting the team as it is.

(not helping to promote OSU very well either)

Riley is OSU's true to life firebrand.

We will probably never hear the full story, or reasons for some of her "supposed" bad behavior, but for my part I intend to give her credit for re-invigorating the women's BB team. She may be experiencing a few problems now but recall how we always say "look at one's full body of work"? Isn't this her last year of eligibility anyway? Hang in there Riley!!! Go Pokes!!!

They are all frustrated. Things aren't falling their way. It is easy to throw sewer lids at them, but I hope we all remember to go and honor our 4 seniors on Saturday, no matter how tough things get.

yeah, I prefer our athletes to have a little fire in their belly. I am thankful that she plays for us and I appreciate her role in turning the team around last year. This year is a bump in the road and I hope she has a great senior year with a great team around her.

We will get better as soon as she remembers that there are 4 other girls on the court with her, and gets them involved in the offense.

Did Budke die and she's the new coach? Who's on first?

I've watched that video at least 1,000 times in my life, and I am still in awe at their timing. Any 2 of us could practice that 100 times over, with the lines memorized, and never come close to two geniouses doing it probably after only very minimal rehersal. Is it just me, or is that not amazing?

Pretty sure you either have "it" or you don't and they certainly did.

There's been problems for awhile, and she's right in the middle of all of them. Sitting her out a game was a pretty darn good idea.

That's my all-time favorite comedy routine; the timing is incredible.
