WooooooooooHoooooooooo!!!!!!

Just accepted the job with Parsons at Tinker. Will be starting Feb 11th. I'm going to stay at the Value Place over on I-240 for the first few weeks while I look into a rental place. I am sooo excited!! I can't wait to move home. My wife is pretty happy too. Looks like she really enjoyed her interview at SWOSU and should be getting an offer from them. OCU is next week so wish her luck. She'll do just fine with either of those places IMO. Thanks all for the suggestions and information on places to stay. I really appreciate it.

KP out.

heh... I'm gonna need a new handle! KentuckyPoke soon to be ?????

I prefer California, almost over Oklahoma any day of the year, especially Winter days of the year!

Welcome home KP! Terrific news. Once you and the wife get settled, we need to have dinner @ bricktown.

Thanks all. Michelle, you've got a deal.

Lewis... I've lived in Arizona, Virginia, Kentucky, Turkey, Hawaii, and Oklahoma. I will always prefer Oklahoma as my home. There's just something special about it to my wife and I.

KP,

Welcome home(well soon anyways). Since I posted to you last, I talked to a friend of mine who stayed at that particular Value Place and she said she absolutely loved it. She said the people who worked there were very nice and did anything they could to help with things. She said she never had a single problem and she stayed there for just over 2 months.

Travel safe and again, welcome home.

Shari

Great! I live in Sapulpa in a community built by Rausch Coleman Homes. They are very affordable and great houses. I know they have neighborhoods in Mustang and Yukon which would be great if your wife is commuting to Weatherford.

I'm coming home to!!!! I'm graduating SMU Law in May and I've accepted a job at a downtown Tulsa law firm. My wife and I will be moving after I take the bar exam in July. I can finally make more games by making a short 1 hour drive instead of the excruciatingly boring 4 hours up I-35. I can also get low profile games on TV instead of having to pay for pay-per-view packages or going to bars with satellite dishes. I'm very excited, but we can't start looking for property until about May. I'm very happy. This last meaningless semester will be the longest 6 months of my life.

I lived in Evansville, Indiana for 2-1/2 years which is just over the Ohio River from Western Kentucky. Thus, I should have some knowledge about your desire to go back to Oklahoma.

Positives about the move:

1) You will get to talk more Football than Basketball
2) I always enjoyed talking about the Big-12 sports instead of the Big-10. Their rivalries just don't seem as intense.
3) More Orange less Blue.
4) Better BBQ in Oklahoma.
5) Better Mexican Food in Oklahoma.

Negatives about the move:

1) You may miss the fiddler catfish.
