Joe Wickline will add the title of co-offensive coordinator in 2009.
STILLWATER - Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy has finalized responsibilities for his coaching staff as OSU approaches the opening of spring drills on Monday.
Joe Wickline, who has served as OSU’s offensive line coach since 2005, will also assume the duties of co-offensive coordinator in 2009. He will share those responsibilities with Gunter Brewer. Brewer, who will be in his second year as co-offensive coordinator, will also coach receivers, as he did in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Brewer spent 2008 tutoring the Cowboy quarterbacks.
Robert Gillespie, in his first year at Oklahoma State after arriving from South Carolina, will coach the Cowboy running backs while Doug Meacham will remain as OSU’s tight ends coach and passing game coordinator. Robert Matthews will be in his first year as OSU’s quarterbacks coach after spending the past two years in a football operations and recruiting role.
On the other side of the ball, first-year defensive coordinator Bill Young will also serve as the Cowboy defensive line coach. Second-year OSU assistant Glenn Spencer, who coached the defensive line last season, will assume the duties of coaching the linebackers. Jason Jones remains as the Cowboy cornerbacks coach while associate head coach Joe DeForest will continue to oversee the safeties and serve as OSU’s special teams coordinator.
