Goodbye seniors: OSU bade farewell to scholarship seniors Byron Eaton, Terrel Harris and Anthony Brown in a ceremony prior to a regular- season home finale against Kansas State.
The Cowboys also have three walk-on seniors, Blaine Booher, Greg Hughes and Nolan Cox.
Time to dance?: Did beating Kansas State put the Cowboys (20-9, 9-6 Big 12, 31 RPI) in the NCAA Tournament? Coach Travis Ford said, "History says (yes), but we still have some work to do."
Home sweet home: OSU improved to 14-2 at home. The 14 wins matches the second-most in school history.
Charity work: Eaton was 15-of-15 from the free-throw line. It was the second-best free-throw shooting performance in school history, ranking behind Arlen Clark's NCAA record 24-of-24 effort against Colorado in 1959.
Streaking: OSU has won six consecutive Big 12 games since starting league play 3-6. The last time the Cowboys won six straight league games was during a Sweet Sixteen season in 2005.
Team of the century: OSU fans chose, by way of Internet vote, an All-Century team. The top five vote-getters? Tony Allen, Byron Houston, Bob Kurland, Desmond Mason and Bryant Reeves.
Getting even: Kansas State was led by Denis Clemente, who scored 17 points. OSU exacted a bit of revenge against him. Clemente, a Miami transfer, was a starting guard on a team that knocked the Cowboys out of the NIT three seasons ago.
Clemente is a second cousin of former Pittsburgh Pirate and Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente.
One and only: Eaton got two steals, allowing him to become the first player in Big 12 history to produce career totals of 1,250 points, 500 assists and 250 steals.
