the story is going around from various radio personalities that reggie is the one who accepted some money instead of his parents , but this hasnt been actually proven but still the ncaa is likey to look more into this and i think usc is in deep crap and this makes ou's transaction look like a tiny infraction. the question is how big of punshiment will be forthcoming ? I cant see how they can take away the heisman form reggie but the ncaa can take away wins which probally means nothing .
i hope the ncaa drops the hammer on usc . there is some talk that usc did know about reggie buying a luxery car which he said that the money was for his parents but there is more stuff about receipts so this getting ugly.
if i had the authority i would suspend the entire football progam and take away their championship and then i would take away 6 tv appearences.
memo to all teams play by my rules or you wont be on the field.

If that is true, the punishment should be no more than the slap on the wrist given to OU. It's the exact same type of offense, the amounts involved are just different.....and that doesn't change the immoral or unethical nature of the conduct itself.
Taking away the Heisman would be easy. That's a private club with its own rules.

The main problem still remains though... The NCAA can't make anyone talk. So if Bush and his family are mum, and the Payor is mum, and USC pleads ignorance not much can happen right?

He ain't in hot water, he may lose an award he won in college. He's a pro in the NFL now!! Big Whoop. SC has deniable plausibility.
Bush makes NFL paychecks and dates Kim Kardashian (I have no clue why, half of Compton's been through there). College awards are cool and all, but he has moved on to better things.
However if this was Jason White, he wouldn't have an NFL Career to fall back on after his "retirement"....err getting cut by the Chiefs. This would be sad.

Perhaps she reminds Reggie of Bourbon Street?

you are probally right pokit yet something tells me that something big is about to happen . the reason that I suspect this is because my big toe is getting smaller and pat jones is wearing crimson these days so 2 +2 still equals 4 who would have thought ?

Except the differences in amounts involved is extreme...we're going from the $20,000 range in the OU case to the $2-300,000 range in Bush's case...there's definitely a major difference...I believe there's a precedent set in the NCAA to punish differently based on amounts, considering other past offenders (Troy Smith got a 2-game ban for taking $500 dollars, whereas Bomar and Quinn were suspended a year)....so, the punishment can actually be heightened based on the amount, I believe....
And I completely agree about the Heisman...I wonder if they'll award it to Young if they do strip it from Bush, or if they'll just make that a year without a Heisman winner...

OU plead ignorance...I don't know how kindly the NCAA takes to universities pleading ignorance when it is their duty to monitor these types of situations (at least in the eyes of the NCAA)....
That's my understanding of it, and I could be way off base, but I think pleading ignorance wouldn't help USC one bit if they were to be strapped with a failure to monitor, like what OU got...

Another difference between the two cases is who was giving the money. For OU it was a booster, someone actually tied to the program, for USC, it was an agent runner who had no ties to USC and only wanted ties to Reggie Bush.
So one was getting money cuz they played for OU and not for who they were, the other was just getting money for who they were.
It's hard to say how that may effect the whole thing, but it might.

Actually the house in question in Spring Valley. Would be more of the 500-600k house value. It's a pretty nice burb of Lo-Cal, San Diego.
But i agree with you in principle, pup
