View Full Version : So how's the cooking going, Arfer?
Have you tried out your crockpot or your GFG?

Yep, thanks for asking!
I used the Crock Pot on Friday. I made a beef roast with potatoes/carrots/celery/onions; worked for me! It came in a kit from Tyson, and I think it was $12.98 + tax. I'm thinking about trying the grill out Thursday and making some hot dogs before I head to an intramural softball game. Later on, though, I'd like to try putting some chicken breasts on there and see what I can come up with.
Good for you! The roast sounds delish.
I recommend that you marinate the chicken breasts for a couple of hours before cooking them, if you have anything on hand. Italian or other non-creamy salad dressing would work, or soy or teriyaki sauce or some such thing. It'll make it juicier and a little less dull.

You go ahead; I'll take the night shift and clean up any mess.:D
Is there NO subject you bad boys can't make into an off-color joke? I mean, cooking? COOKING? Seriously?
(P.S. If "chicken breast" gets you this worked up, wait till I talk about pork loin...)

Back to being serious; I made buffalo steaks last night. They were huge and I was afraid they would taste like a roast. I fixed them up like I usually would a regular cow steak and let it marinate.
Wow! It didn't shrink away and was so tender, I didn't neek a knife. It was excellent!
