My opinion:
@Washington State = WIN
Houston = WIN
Missouri State = WIN
Troy = WIN
Texas A&M = WIN
@Missouri = LOSS
Baylor = WIN
@Texas = LOSS
Iowa State = WIN
@Texas Tech = LOSS
@Colorado = WIN
Oklahoma = LOSS
* I see six guaranteed wins (4 Nonconference, Baylor, Iowa State).
* Two probable wins (A&M, @Colorado)
* Four probable losses (@Mizzou, @Texas, @Tech, Oklahoma).
So, in a perfect world, I would think we would go 8-4. However, Gundy to date seems always good for one loss that you don’t expect. So I would predict 7-5 for the 2008 regular season. That might get us in the Alamo Bowl depending on how the rest of the league falls.
For anything more than the above, our defense is going to have to improve dramatically. Might happen, but I thought that about 2007 as well and we went the other way.

My guess is the same, 8-4.
I just don't see us beating Mizzou, Tech and Texas at their places.
Colorado at their place is a maybe.
bedlam is a toss-up, just because it is bedlam.
So anywhere from 9-3 to 7-4

I'd put Iowa State in the Probable Win category. I also think it'll be tough to beat CU in Cu.

You really think Iowa State in Stillwater is only a probably win?

A little early for projections, I would like to see Spring Ball first to determine progress on the defensive side, whether Pettigrew returns, and how we are doing in terms of replacing Bowman.
I've seen WSU twice, they have a very nice passing attack and good DL, in fact, I would swap DL lines with them. They will have new coaches, but probably an upgrade versus their previous staff, we will have little in terms of game planning to base our plan upon.
Agree with the other NC games and conference games with one exception.
Colorado sits between TT and OU, a real trap game for us. They are recruiting well, beat OU at Boulder and showed a nice ability to come back versus Alabama. I think this game is a real challenge and a toss up at best.
I am anticipating 7-5, if Pettigrew returns, a potential to go 8-4.

Call me crazy, I still think we will win, but I wouldn't say its a lock. ISU did manage to beat Iowa, K-State, and CU last year. I think they will be slightly better w/ Chizick's (sp?) second year. Don't get me wrong I still think we'll win, I just don't lump them in w/ Baylor and Missouri St. :)

My bad. Who am I kidding? Until we see a big improvement on defense, how can any decent team be anything other than a probable win?

If we can't count a home game against a team coming off a 3-9 season as a "guaranteed win" then we need to implode BPS and shut down the program...
(Or fire our Coaching staff and start over)

Exactly my frame of mind. I was guilty of getting my hopes up too high before last year and I am determined not to let that happen again.
PS-I say this every year, but by Late August I'll have us going to the Fiesta Bowl or something. :D

I still think that we are due to win in Lubbick (isn't this game going to get moved?)
I know that we've had trouble playing there, but this year CU beat them in Lubbick (and Tech beat OU in lubbick); in 2006 Tech lost to UT and Mizzou at home while beating us by only 6.
I'm leaning toward beating Tech in Lubbick in 2008. (crosses fingers)
They only list 14 seniors on their roster; so they should have most everybody returning.

How many of you guy's correctly guesses Kansas's and Notre Dame's records last January?

I was 83% correct (10 of 12) on OSU's 2007 record last year about this time.
For 2007 I said we would go 8-4:
Beat: Troy/FAU/Sam Houston St/Tx Tech/Baylor/KSU/KU
Split with: @A&M/@Nebraska
Lose to: @Georgia, Texas, @Oklahoma.
I was 100% accurate on 10 out of 12 games.
I was wrong on just two (Troy/Kansas).
I think that justifies taking a stab at it in January.

I got their records right, just applied to the wrong teams.
actually, I wasn't far off on ND... everybody thought they would start 0-7.
I didn't really try to predict the KU record, but it was pretty evident that they would make a bowl game based simply on returning players and being bowl eligible in 2006.
