well, i checked into MY hotel right behind jared from subway, who is an IU guy. he turned around and was like "uh, cowboy fans!" or something like that. i gave him the same look i give to anyone who makes a remark like that. the desk clerk was like " i think you just got insulted by that guy from the subway commercials." good times!

This is the reply I got from Chip explaining the suit and the pose.


So here's the deal. My friend Adam, whom I am in ROTC with, well his dad is a General in the AF. General Jodice was a defense attaché in China. While on a business trip in Korea he happened upon an entire ream of this OSU fabric. General and Mrs. Jodice bought the entire ream and took it back to China, wherein it was given to the family tailor. The elder Chinese tailor was dismayed and at first refused to make the fabric into a suit, but he relented. General Jodice sent the suit to his son and it has since taken on a life of its own. Adam wore it to all the football games but never received any attention for it. He went back east for Christmas and so I got to wear the suit to the bowl game. He is now deciding what to do with it since he will be commissioning in May. I told him obviously it needs to stay with me so it can make appearances at games.

About the picture, I went to the bowl game with five other people in a Honda Odyssey. The trip by itself would have been easy, but we had three days worth of snowboard gear so it made the van really tight. We told Keyton, who is 15, that we were going to strap him to the front of the van if we either ran out of room or he got annoying. We told him he would have to pose life the Jaguar emblem if he was strapped to the front. As soon as that was said we started doing it for pictures. A couple times we had the majority of that section of stands doing the Jaguar pose. We probably had 50 or 60 pictures taken of us that night.

That suit was money.

A Sooner Dead is not a forgone conclusion here. There is still a lot of time for these three to start mixing some equal parts of yellow into that red paint of theirs.
