Below is the final Top-25 Coaches Poll. Pretty good showing for the Big-12. 4 in the Top-10, 5 in the Top-25.

1 LSU
2 USC
3 Georgia
4 Ohio State
5 Missouri
6 West Virginia
7 Kansas
8 Oklahoma
9 Virginia Tech
10 Texas
11 Boston College
12 Tennessee
13 Arizona State
14 Auburn
15 BYU
16 Florida
17 Hawaii
18 Illinois
19 Michigan
20 Cincinnati
21 Wisconsin
22 Clemson
23 Texas Tech
24 Oregon
25 Penn State

Kansas was the only major Conference team in the Country to finish with 1-loss, yet they end up only #7 in the final Poll.

OU beat MU twice and finished below them. Hehheh. Where was WVU ranked before the Fiesta Bowl? I thought that after the pounding they gave OU, they might finish higher. That was a nice showing the Big 12. So much for it being a down year, eh? And wow, we played FOUR top ten (as ranked at end of year) teams. Oh, and I saw in the extended poll that App State was on the others receiving votes area. :-)

* 4 of our 6 losses were to teams who finished in the final Top-10 (GA, TX, OU, KU).

* Based on that, I think I would have defined our "perfect" 2007 season as finishing 9-4. Losses to A&M and Troy were the difference between the 9-wins I think we "should" have had and the 7-wins we finished with.

I am shocked that OU even finished in the Top 10 after the pounding they got from West Virginia...

Also... it is a good point Pokevette brings up... OSU has to be in the top 20 as far as scheduling difficulty... can't wait until next year when we get Robinson, hunter, bryant, & crew back with hopeful a more mature and improved defense... ought to be fun
