You were pretty adament earlier in the year that the Big-12 would have only one BCS Bowl participant....

I was wondering what your take is now with regard to the Big-12 ending up with two? What do you think went different then you expected for that to happen?

Well, that's not nice. Wasn't it you Poke that at one time said OSU to the Alamo was 'all but a done deal?'

I don't remember my reasoning, but I stated so at the time...

It seemed unlikely at the time that the #1's and #2's would continue to lose, I think KU still had a few games remaining that looked like sure losses.

Essentially I suggested that it would be whacky for that to happen... and it was.

The Pac10 only got one in, since Dixon got hurt, WV dropped a clunker, etc.

Most expected BC to beat VaTech; and for the Beast to get two teams in.

The Pac10 only getting 1 was the biggest change (a healthy Oregon would have been selected over KU every time).

I don't remember exactly when we had the discussion or what the standings were at the time, but it seemed very implausable... and that's what happened IMO, the implausable.

Yeah, I was bigger against OSU to the Alamo, that didn't make any sense what so ever.

Yep, I was VERY convinced at one point that we were going to the Alamo. That changed when Texas A&M beat Texas. Didn't see that one coming. I think that sunk OSU with regard to the Alamo Bowl.
