I say 10-2, off the top of my head. And at this point I won't say who the W's are.

I wouldn't be too upset with a 9-3, 6-2 record; but I'm hoping for more than that.

Georgia - Push. First game jitters, new defensive scheme, etc. Cowboys should prevail after UGA loses Moreno and Stafford.
Houston - Win. OSU rolled the Cougars this year. No reason to think differently for next year.
Rice - Win. They're improving, but then again, when you're in the basement, that's all you can do.
Grambling State - Win. The most entertaining part of this game will be the Grambling band.
Texas A&M - Win. Aggies are the new Baylor.
Missouri - Win. Mizzou will be missing Daniel next year.
Baylor - Win. Bears are the new Aggies.
Texas - Push. McCoy returns, as does Shipley. Would say advantage UT, except the game is in Stillwater.
Iowa State - Win. Cyclones might pull a Washington State next season.
Texas Tech - Push. Harrell's departure might hurt Tech, but their offense should have had sufficient time to build momentum by the time we get them.
Colorado - Win. It's Big 12 football. Too bad the Buffs haven't figured out how to play it under Dan Hawkins.
28-Nov @Oklahoma - Push. Two words: Sam Bradford. Like it or not, the kid's good.
I'm saying a 10-2 regular season record, a win against either Texas or Oklahoma and a Cotton Bowl bid.
I honestly don't believe there's a game on our schedule, however, that we can't at least be competitive in. Sure, I expect we'll probably stumble somewhere along the way (and that isn't being negative - most teams do), but at least I don't think there'll be a time when the Cowboys don't even deserve to be on the same field as our opponents (which I've felt at times in the past).

If they can beat Georgia in the first game, which is a big if, they should be looking at going into the Texas game at 7-0, again...and this time ranked in the top 3 probably.

What is the status of the 2009 schedule? Is the Houston game the holdup?

I'm pretty sure it's a done deal... Holder already announced 8 home dates for the season ticket pricing.
