Looks like June Jones has resigned from Hawaii...now, here's the kicker...guess where he's going to coach now?
Had enough time to think it over?
SMU...reportedly making $1.7-2 million a year (he made $800,016 a year at Hawaii)....

That's funny; they sure supported him when he had his skull bushed in after a 'suspicious' auto accident.

Are you serious? They have one of the largest camps in the nation on the island, in which they fly in guys from all over the pacific rim. The also hold a camp in California and a camp in Utah.

Actually, about him not liking Hawaii and never getting any support there, they just reported on the Tulsa game that SMU made him a 2 mil offer and Hawaii has countered. The guy with the info says Jones never really wanted to leave Hawaii anyway.

Hawaii's stadium and practice facilities are in pretty bad shape if I remember correctly. They need to invest some dough into that place to get it up to par.

It has been reported that they had no soap for the locker room, and that the recruiting budget was $50,000.

2 mil per. That means he makes more money than Butch Davis, Al Groh, Gary Pinkel, Mike Sherman, Steve Spurrier, Tommy Bowden, Greg Schiano, Bobby Bowden, Mike Leach, Bo Pelini, Mark Mangino, Joe Paterno, Dennis Erickson, Ron Zook, Rick Neuheisel, etc etc etc
Who would have thought that the coaches at Baylor and SMU would be making 1.8 and 2.0 mil respectively??

I'm not a coach, and nobody wants me as their coach, and it'd take at least that for me to take either of those jobs. I'm just sayin.
Wonder where they found the coin?

I heard that 20 SMU alumni agreed to pony up 100,000 grand each for 5 years...
my boss (a UCLA grad) told me that one at lunch today... don't know where he heard that.

That is also what ESPN is reporting. Remember this is the SMU who had more money boosters throwing around money than anyone...
They have just gotten smart and decided to put it into more legal activities.

I don't know about Baylor, but trust me, there's more than enough monied SMU folks to take care of a $10 million pittance. That's just pocket change.:D
