means he has a spot on the 105 man roster limit... other walkons must wait until school starts to participate.

This is a position that has hurt us in the last few years. Fumbled snaps, et al. Conner is a welcome addition. Go Pokes!!!

actually, deep snapper has been a strength of the team for a long time. Allen was great with only one miss in 4 seasons... and the guy we have now is really good too.
But with Allen graduating, we need another.

Are you aware of any other such commits? (Pref. walk-ons that is)

not new one's... most of those aren't identified until after recruiting, to see who gets ships, and who's still available... often times their JUCO kids.
Last year we had Bo Bowling and some others, and I think his brother was also a prefered walkon... and our FBs.
We have several on the team already.

The deep snapper screwed up several times this year... and that's a position that screw ups are not allowed.. Go Pokes!!

Marc Yerry will be the deep snapper for the next 4 years. He redshirt this year, but was signed and is on scholly just to deep snap. He's very good.

The OSU statistics page says he played 13 games, and had 1 tackle.
I think Yerry did punts and Allen did FGs; but I might have that backwards.
Yerry will be a Sophomore.

I think Allen did punts.
And the only reason I say that is that he was the deep snapper on the bad snap at Georgia last year.
Not trying to point out a flaw, I just remember folks for some reason blaming his dad for that! I thought that was a bit of a stretch!

Allen did both the prior two years, maybe three but they split this year.
RA was yapping about earlier in the season when Yerry was given one of the duties.

Yep... time flies.
Consider this; Derek Burton and Perish Cox will both be seniors ..... this time next year they will simply be "fans" just like the rest of us.
