well... the Bills "earned" their way into those games... the squatter just got "voted" to play in it; most of the time undeservingly so; like this year... UT should have been in the B12 champ game, and the rules are being changed to prevent such injustice in the future.

Do you know what the new rules are going to be??

I don't think they've been proposed yet, but it will involve removing the BCS ranking from the tie-breaker; and replaced with something in which the Big12 has more control and is not biased by folks not involved with our conference (like the east coast sports writers interested only in their prefered story line)

The rumbling I've heard is that the Big 12 will likely adopt a system like the SEC, in which the head-to-head winner takes precedence over any ranking.
Makes a whole lot more sense to me than relying on a computer to decide an issue that was settled on the field months before.

Big problem with this theory is that OU has actually won one of the 5 BCS Championships they have been to.
1-4 is better than 0-4.

but that was the problem 3-way tie in head-to-head rankings... .h-t-h didn't solve the tie.
I suspect it will be a selection panel like they do for the Big12 basketball tournament (or something like that).

Tie breaker should go to the university with the highest graduation rate for that team.
That whole "student-athlete" thing.

Now that is an idea that I support. Brilliant.

Which I think is probably a clear indication that it wasn't MY idea. I read it in some article a few months back.... I can't even remember who wrote it.
Might have been Frank Stallone.

I also think lining up a Big 12 North Patsy in the championship game is a bad idea. When the North Champion (Mizzou) CLEARLY was worse than the top 4 (UO,Texas, Tech, Good Guys) teams from the South, they should have no business being in the game.
2 of the 3: Tech, Texas, and Okla. SHOULD have been in the Championship game, and hell all things being equal, do it based on graduation rates and/or cleaner nose scandal-wise.
