On Aug. 3, former Oklahoma State offensive lineman Jon Kolb will be inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.
Born in Ponca City, Kolb attended Owasso High and OSU before playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 13 seasons.
Jon Kolb anchored the Oklahoma State offensive line from the center position from 1966-1968. He earned All-America accolades during his senior campaign in 1968.
Kolb was also a two-time all-conference selection, earning that distinction in 1967 and 1968.
Following his senior season, Kolb participated in the Senior Bowl, the North-South Shrine Bowl, the Coaches' All-American Game, and the College All-Star Game.
After being selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by Pittsburgh, he competed for the Steelers from 1969-1981. Kolb helped lead the Steelers to championships in Super Bowls IX, X, XIII and XIV.
Kolb, 61, resides in Grove City, Pa.
