Black Friday deals.....?

Was anyone brave enough or crazy enough to go out shopping?

My girlfriend and I braved the streets of Tulsa and made it to Circuit City, Target and Woodland Hills. Didn't spend more than an hour each place, which was surprising since you can expect to spend an hour in any one of those places on a normal day. Was back at home and napping before 10AM!!

2GB DDR2 Ram: 40 - 70
BT headset: 10 - 25
GPS system: 150 - 300
Wii sports set (covers that you put on your wiimote to turn them into a tennis racket, golf club, or baseball bat) - 10 - 30
Surf's Up DVD: 6 - 20

The last two things are the only Christmas gifts I got, the others were just for me. But I would have to say the GPS is awesome, especially for 150 bucks. My girlfriend got a lot more, she got most of her Christmas shopping covered...We had her Dodge Caliber filled up.

I was an idiot and said yes when asked to go with a friend to the 71st & 169 Best Buy. We got there at 4:30 a.m. and the line was around the corner and halfway to Mathis Brothers (which probably translated to about a quarter mile of line).

After we got in, it wasn't a problem - the lines were pretty well thought out, but we went to Circuit City after that, and that was just a mess. Whoever designed their layout should be shot. Completely moronic.

Anyway. Got done there, turned east on 71st, did the whole Target deal, then got home by 11 a.m. or so. All in all, not too bad.

Yeah, there were some things at bestbuy that I wanted, but I figured with the other places we "had" to go to, it wouldn't be worth it since all the stuff there was not really a necessity.

And yes, I would agree with you about Circuit City....The line for the main registers was literally all the way down the main aisle, wrapping around the entire store! We stood in line for about 10 minutes when I saw an employee in the car audio section standing next to a computer. I went up to him and asked if we could check out here, and he said we could as long as we were paying by credit card. Took us all of 35 minutes to get in and get out of CC. Oh and we were in line at 4:30. Out of the store at around 5:40.
