Anyone use them for your electric?
My electric bill is $645 this month!!!! I live in a 1700 sq.ft townhome. It's been averaging $180 a month. Something has to be wrong, correct?
I did call, but they are taking the day off. :) Guess it can wait, but this bill is just asinine!

It's probably all those new electronics/52" LCD flat screen tv's/ps3's and xbox's you got for Christmas.
Turn all that stuff off and read a book.
Football sucks today anyway.

I'm sure it's not anywhere near the same problem, but I built a house for a lady who bought one of those glass front wine coolers from Home Depot. There was a wiring problem with it and it ran up a 700 dollar electric bill in one month. You get any new appliances for xmas?
Your meter spins what it spins... check and make sure your meter readings are correct. An incorrect reading could cost you big time.

Did you switch to Amigo or were you with someone else and did they close down and you get automatically switched to Amigo?
I was with a company that went under so the Texas Utility Commission or some other organization switched me to Amigo. I immediately switched to a different company that was charging about 12.5 cents per kwh but I was still stuck with Amigo for a month. That one month I was with Amigo and my bill was 800 bucks. The reason being is that when you are automatically switched to them they charge something like .28 per kwh. Nothing you as the consumer can do about it but just bend over and take it. I called the utility commission and was told the reason they agreed to it was because so many people left Amigo after the switch they had to make it worth their while. I tried to explain the reason they switch is because of the crazy rate they charge but that concept wasn't catching on with the lady I was talking to.

I do have a 52" LCD flatscreen and Wii, but that isn't it Jake!
I need to find out if the BITCH is a meter reader. That would explain some things BBB.
I'll check the reading, GP83
I did switch from TXU to Amigo when I moved in August, Inky. I had asked friends and they all had good luck w/ Amigo. They were cheaper than TXU, so I decided to give them a try. Probably should have stuck w/ TXU. Never had any problems / billing issues w/ them.
