As OSU fans are aware the Cowboy coaching staff is always looking for that diamond in the rough prospect that they can sneak into Stillwater and lay claim to before other top notch programs figure it out. A perfect example of that is the commitment they just received from athlete prospect Charlie Moore out of Bullard, Texas. Who is this newest member of the 2009 class? Find out inside…

So is he a guard, linebacker, kicker or what?

6-4, 240, runs a 4.3-40, soft hands, monster tackles, averages 45 yards per punt, has a 98% in FG with a long of 63 yards, and can throw it over the mountains!

And he is a coach's son who has already CLEP'd out of 4 years of college......and can kick Marcus Dove's ass.

Why are we recruiting kids with narcolepsy anyway?

According to Rivals he's 6'-2", 190 lbs., and runs a 4.5. Rivals has two videos you can watch. His arm doesn't look very strong but he throws a good deep ball and has great pocket awareness. He is tall and lanky but must have deceptive speed because he doesn't look that fast but he was running by people left, right, and up the middle. He's a good prospect but I would guess he would redshirt and Glass would pump him up.

Looks like a safety that could possibly grow into a linebacker. Has some speed and vision. That qb experience will help him on defense.:cool-smiley-027:

Moore is a very productive dual-threat quarterback at the high school level but could get recruited more at safety with his good size, athleticism and lack of great arm strength. Is tall, athletically-built and very rangy.

Actually throws a nice ball at quarterback with good touch and rotation. Delivery needs some refinement but gets settled in the pocket quickly and has a smooth release. Puts good touch on the football, particularly on the fade route.

Is poised and does not force many bad throws. Improvises well when the original play breaks down. Can throw on the run accurately or move the chains with his adequate foot-speed. However, he does not possess a quick release or get great zip on the football. Down field arm strength is just adequate. His balls tend to float and he can struggle zipping it into tight spots of coverage.

Overall, Moore's continued physical development, improved arm strength and mechanical polish could dictate his ability to remain at quarterback. Has the size, range, athleticism, ball skills and natural football awareness skills to transition to safety at the next level as well.http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=59278&season=2009

So a coach can smack him on the side of his head and say, "wake up and piss, the world's on fire".

The sleeper recruit doesn't mean narcolepsy. Duh!

It means he is James Bond............and becoming the next Marcus Dove (in blog terms anyway) is a given.

He's probably going to play slot receiver... maybe some H-back stuff as well.

Sounds pretty sure he'll be on the offense though. I'm hoping the other ATH we got (Joe Mitchell) will make a good strong safety or STAR LB.
