DL coach Barnes fired, per RA......so it begins. Beckman will continue. Looks as if our LB coach may be Fedora's d coordinator....that leaves DeFo.

I have heard that Barns contract was up, and was not renewed, which is a bit different from being "fired", IMO... at least in the sense that he probably knew it was coming and had some time to prepare; and is a bit different when you're looking for a job, that a new DC came in and your contract was not extended....

some have also said it had more to do with his recruiting, than his ability to coach DTs... I don't personally know.

I thank him for his time and service to OSU, and I thought the DTs did pretty well this year considering what we had to work with, and with no real LB support.

Barnes contract was not up. He still has two years left at $133,000 per year and will get paid that by OSU unless he takes a new job.
