One of the worst weekends I have ever had..

1. Dad (CanadianCowboy) doesn't get to fly home from Africa like he was suppose to so he could be at home for Thanksgiving and watch our high school 3rd round playoff game...

2. We lost our 3rd round playoff game on a last second field goal... had the ball with 2 minutes left...driving down the field (game tied 24-24) to win the game... fumble the ball... fumble returned to 20 yard line...ran down the clock to :07 seconds and kicked game winning field goal...

3. OSU gets beat....

4. Get smoked in my NFL fantasy league game

5. Find out this morning that Chokelahoma gets to go to Big 12 Championship...geez....

For the first time ever...glad it is Monday...get this weekend over with...

Any one else as depressed as I am about this last weekend? :furious3:

You asked...

* My sister decided she would rather spend Thanksgiving with my aunt in St Louis instead of with us. Never even asked me if I needed her here this Thanksgiving.

* No Thanksgiving with my parents ever again.

* Such a dysfunctional Thanksgiving with my wife's family I'm not even sure why we get together. Half of the family didn't even talk with us nor really wanted to be there.

* My son left early Friday to go back to OCU. Kind of screwed up the rest of the weekend.

* OSU lost to ou.

* Had a funeral on Sunday for the fifth person on my Mom and Dad's street to pass away this year.

So, yeah, life's a bitch and she has me by the throat.

sorry to hear, but IMO, that just makes the bright moments and our OSU family all the more special.

Glad you're here with us.

I had kind of an up and down weekend, myself. Hang in there, guys. It'll get better.

Count your blessings guys. I know between crazy family gatherings, deaths of loved ones, and the space in between, it can seem like your behind the 8 ball. So let's look at what we can be thankful for.

** A great Bedlam game. I know it's not where we wanted to be at the end of the game, but I had a great Bedlam weekend. Our tailgate was awesome. Got there around 2 and it was already set up with the games going on a flat screen TV, great foo, great beer. Cowboys and Sooners alike were there and we all had fun ribbing each other. Had a few things gone our way we could have won that game. On a side note, the last Bedlam I went to in Stillwater was the one where another pass got tipped and MArk Braqdley took it tot he house like Gresham did in this one, those really piss me off, and IMHO was the straw that broke our defenses back.

** Only lose 7 seniors and have a hell of a 9 win team coming back next year to try and make a run at the Big 12 with the schedule to do it.

** A bowl destination that is warm and gonna be a great match up with the Oregon Ducks. A great bowl to get to 10 wins for the departing seniors.

** A basketball team who seems to have a better attitude and will be more fun to watch this year for sure.

** My family. Two loving daughters, a loving wife, two sisters, and my mom. Man that's a bunch of girls!!!

** A great board like ostatesports that not only talks about the Cowboys we love, but also seems to be a forum for people to get some really good advice/therapy:biggrin: and creates a family atmosphere like no other OSU board out there!!!
