That the Insight.com Bowl will be televised by the NFL network? If so, I wonder if there's any chance Suddenlink will pick up the NFL network in the next 30 or so days. Probably slim to none.

Kinda why I was hoping the OSU would go to the Alamo or the Independence Bowl instead of Insight.com Bowl..... other than recruiting purposes (Alamo and Independence in the middle of OSU's huge recuriting area..) but also because those bowls are on ESPN or ESPN2 (not sure which) and can be seen by more people.

NFL network is not a prime channel (people down here complaining about Packers vs. Cowboys game this Thursday being shown on NFL Network) and was stated that somewhere around 80 to 85% would not be able to see that game because they don't have the NFL network.... doesn't make much of an impression on recruits if they can't watch the game.

With chance leaning more towards "none" I'd say. Either find a friend with Satellite or head to your favorite sports bar!

Or give yourself a nice Christmas present and head there to see it first hand! :)

I notice the NFL Network is played on CW sometimes on Sundays but I dont think the Thursday games are. I am going crazy because the Dallas v. GB game will be on and I will miss it. NFL Network is an okay channel but it absolutley needs to be picked up by more providers to succeed, otherwise I think in 2 years it will fail.

Be nice or we will have to invite ourselves over for the bowl game. You do serve hotwings? ;)

Is Suddenlink the only cable in Stillwater? I'm surprised they don't get Cox Cable...Cox Cable has NFL Network on its digital cable (and now NFL Network HD)...

Time Warner is having a dispute with the NFL network, at least in Austin. There are radio ads being presented by the network asking you call TW.

Suddenlink took over for Cox about two years ago, but I think the NFL Channel is available as a subscription digital channel... not entirely sure about that, but if it came down to being able to see the Insight Bowl, I might check it out...

Hmm....yeah, it's part of a sports package through Cox Cable, which gets you NFL Network, ESPNU, ESPNNews, ESPNClassic, Fox Soccer Channel, Versus, the NHL Network and one or two more, I think...it's a cool package....

Definitely look into it....

Ah,love my HD NFL network on Cox :D

Definitely agree...it's a great thing to have...will be especially fun tomorrow night...

Something I heard on the radio just yesterday while driving back from Louisiana . . . Jerry Jones owns the NFL network and won't budge on his demand that the cable companies pay him to carry the NFL Network. They want to offer the eight NFL games, including the Cowboys vs Packers game, as Pay Per View, but he won't do it piecemeal, a game at a time. Both satellite provers have the NFL network, so he is encouraging cable users to make the switch. I would love to watch the Cowboys v Packers, but it's not a deal breaker if I have to miss it.

Suddenlink sucks. Cox was much better and offers a boatload more HD channels. Shoot, you have to pay extra for ESPN HD on suddenlink, even though its about the only sports HD channel in teh lineup.

And I don't realyl love Cox either, but out of the two....

I don't blame NFL network wanting cable companies to pay-they have 8 NFL games which are guaranteed ratings bonanzas and really a pretty cool product for bigtime NFL fans.

NFL network is a waste of space for all but the few games they show every year. I don't blame the cable companies for not giving in on this without a fight. Cable bills are going through the roof partly because the fees to carry these channels are increasing every year. The last thing Jerry Jones and the NFL needs is even more money.

If they could figure out a way rain doesn't affect reception from a dish, I'd switch faster than you can say "Suckeylink."
