--------------------------------------------------------
This assumes:

1. Big 12 (Texas) Pac 10 (Hawai'i) and SEC (PapaJohns, Music City) can't fill out bowl bids.

2. Gator and Sun passes on Big 12,

3. Fiesta Bowl picks Boise State over Ohio State, it could happen.

4. Bowls picked teams that would draw the most regionally. If Middle Tenn. St. wins, I would assume them in Music City Bowl

5. Armed Forces Bowl would be a replay of 31-28 win by Houston over Air Force of a game that was relocated to Dallas in frot of 5000 fans because of Hurricane Ike
-------------------
I bolded any Big 12 games, games that are regularly Big 12 games, and teams we faced in 2008.

Actually the two undefeated teams should play the #1 and #2 BCS teams and the winner of those two games play one additional game for the MNC.

How many times has there been one, two or three undefeated teams that were not ranked in the top four?

Has there ever been 4 undefeated teams and none of them were ranked in top 4 nationally?

Has there ever been 5 undefeated teams before the bowl season?

There will likely be 3 teams (4 If Bama beats Florida) Ball State, Utah and Boise State.

Ahh... Lewis....the Fiesta is obligated to take a big 12 team I think. And that would be Texas as the second in line with paperclips going to MNC game.

BCS games should not be obligated to pick any team...those games are supposed to have the best teams...they should not have conference ties and if they want to keep their ties then they shouldnt be a BCS bowl and pick another...i think the cotton would love to be a BCS bowl

It starts and ends with the Rose Bowl ties. Until those ties are forcibly broken the other bowls and conferences will want their ties too.

2. Gator and Sun passes on Big 12,

That's impossible. Either the Gator or Sun MUST take a Big-12 team. The Gator gets first choice. If they pass, the Sun takes a Big-12 team.
