So if the regular season is supposed to be a playoff how can uo be ahead of Texas and Mizzou be a head of Kansas when both these higher ranked teams lost on neutral fields to their border state rivals?

Because the system is flawed. It will always be flawed until we institute a playoff.

Texas 45 - uo 35
Texas 56 - Mizzou 31

How can a system be fair that allows two teams that Texas beat to play for the Big XII Championship?

The BCS system is not flawed it's bankrupt. The Big 12 selection is just as stupid.

I only hope they get these two corrected before it really means something to the Cowboys.

I can almost guarantee there will be Texas fans out there with signs that pretty much state this.

OU can be ahead of Texas because Texas lost later and OU demolished the team Texas lost to later in the season. OU is simply seen as the better team now, when it matters the most.

The issue between Kansas and Mizzou is that Kansas has more losses. It is certainly not uncommon for a team that lost to another team still be ranked above them, i.e, Florida above Mississippi, USC above OSU, etc.

The fact that it's not uncommon doesn't mean that it doesn't suck (the system, that is)!
