Well, I think it is pretty clear at this point....
BCS/BCS/Cotton = Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech.
Holiday/Gator = Okla State, Missouri
Alamo/Insight = Nebraska, Kansas.
Now, there are still some things to shake out about EXACTLY which teams go where. If I were making my best guess
BCS - Oklahoma
BCS - Texas
Cotton - Texas Tech
Holiday - Okla State
Gator - Missouri
Alamo - Nebraska
Insight - Kansas

Wow ... just went to Kayak.com and found flights from Greensboro to San Diego for just over $550/person.
Like I'll be able to go, though :(

word of warning about US Air... I flew them to Orlando two week ago and they charge for EVERYTHING!!
$15 baggage fee for ANY bag checked
$2.00 for coffee or soda (cash only)
$8.00 for beer or wine (cash only)
$5.00 for "box lunch" (cash only), I think the "meal" was $8.00, but they run out by the time they get about 10 rows back....

When checking fares, Southwest doesn't show up an travelocity.
They fly directly to San Diego, and don't have all the silly charges Cali mentioned

I just realized that 1983 "Holiday Road"song was performed by Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac fame.

Okay, why is the Gator bowl back into the process? I thought you were saying they were not going to choose a Big12 team before... and, don't they get to select BEFORE the Holiday bowl? (i.e., who doesn't like the Cowboys?)

* I said all along that I thought Notre Dame was a lock to the Gator Bowl given that they win a reasonable number of games. As it turns out, they came up short in the win column for Gator Bowl consideration. I think that puts the Big-12 now in the Gator sights.
* The Gator chooses AFTER the Holiday but BEFORE the Alamo. There is a provision that the Gator may use once to choose before the Holiday, but that only applies in years when the Big-12 has only ONE team in the BCS. That does not appear applicable for this season.

I wasn't aware of that one-time provision.
I looked it up, it actually allows them to select before the Cotton, but only if there is one BCS Big12 team selected. (meaning the Cotton would get the 3rd place Big12 team at worst in every case).
