I have a good feeling that he will be a true Field General next year.

ZR was gettin props from Herbstreit for his ability to improvise and create something when the original play had gone south. Clearly, that ability adds another dimension to the offense that the defense has to account for. I look forward to seeing what he can do in his senior year.:pete:

I like Zac, I think he's great... but his Bedlam performances have been dismal at best... the kid just can't hang onto the Bedlam ball... as many great things as he does in those games, he seems to negate it all with mistakes.

I'd have probably dropped that one, too, if Jeremy Beal was grabbing my nuts like that....

OSU's Robinson has career game, sandwiched between two mistakes
By Scott Wright
Published: November 30, 2008
STILLWATER — Zac Robinson’s Bedlam performance is most painfully attached to his two big mistakes.
The Oklahoma State quarterback’s errant pass on the Cowboys’ first offensive series was intercepted to set up Oklahoma’s first touchdown.
And Robinson’s fumble late in the fourth quarter was the knockout blow in the Cowboys’ 61-41 Bedlam loss.
But in between, Robinson played the game of his life. Running out of sacks, breaking tackles, darting ahead for more yards, throwing on point to move the offense. Not just once or twice, but over and over again to keep his Cowboys within striking distance of the No. 3 Sooners.
“He played an excellent game,” OU coach Bob Stoops said. “Just frustrated us so many times because you thought you had him sacked and he’d break through or throw the ball and make plays, or he’d run for a first down.
“That kind of play really threw us off some.”
Robinson rushed for a season-high 90 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries and completed 17 of 26 passes for 254 yards and three more scores.
One of the sleeves on his black long-sleeved undershirt was ripped, so he tore it off at the shoulder and played the rest of the game with just one.
But for every mistake he made, the Sooners made him pay.
Even something as simple as a botched two-point conversion went the other way when Robinson’s fumble was scooped up by OU defensive end Frank Alexander and returned for two points.
“I thought he played with a lot of guts,” co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer said of his quarterback. “There are things he does that people don’t get to see every day in practice — his athletic ability. He runs the ball extremely well when he gets the opportunity.
“He had some mistakes, but that’s because he was trying to make plays. We knew we had to do that against their defense.”
With all the playmakers around him — Kendall Hunter, Dez Bryant, Brandon Pettigrew and a stout offensive line — sometimes it is forgotten what a talent the OSU quarterback is.
But he proved time and time again Saturday night just how special he is.

True but he did have some people up in his grill on those fumbles. Thus, we need to block better. If we had got in Bradford's grill, he may fumble a few times too.
Zac's INT was pretty much all on him though. It looked like he threw it wide.

It was a bad ball. Looked like it got away from him.
$hit happens.
The offense gave up some points and gave them some short fields. If we could have stopped them in the second half we would have stood a chance.
When we ran the KO back for a TD, I thought we had turned the tide. Alas it was not to be.
The worst part of the evening was the dang traffic trying to get the hell outa town. Worst I've ever seen.

It will get worse when Boone puts on the upper deck in a few more years.

If you look at the QBs for next year daniel harrell and i believe ressing are seniors mccoy is looking into the draft ZR could be the 2nd best QB behind bradford because bradford could leave but i havent heard anything about him looking into the draft
I truely hope Bradford goes pro after THIS season. IF he did that would make ZR the best QB left in the league. OU, MU, KU, Texas Tech and Texas would all be breaking in new guys. IF Bradford and McCoy leave. Here's hoping.

Honestly, it looked to me like the linebacker (can't remember which one was out in the zone) tipped the ball making it go wide...I came away from watching that game with an amazing respect for ZR...the guy is a true gamer and a damn good QB...

Bradford could cost himself a lot of money by not going pro. The NFL is trying to implement some kind of salary standards that will limit pay for new rookies in the league. This could be the last year of the huge signing bonuses. He says he is saying but it's not a good decision if they implement some kind of pay cap. I think he goes especially if he wins the Heisman.

I have to agree with you on the tipped pass TD. I watched the replay yesterday and it did look as though the pass was tipped before it was intercepted.

Mike Gundy said on the sports animal in OKC that the interception was not Zac's fault. The receiver did not make the correct cut. I can't fault him for making a few mistakes. If not for some of his great plays we would not have scored several of those touchdowns.

Kody Spano signed a letter of intent with Nebraska on Jan. 6, 2008. He not only changes his mind on his next team easily. He also can change the color and style of his hair with just as much ease.

The bright spot for me is that it took a few once in a lifetime miracles for the supposed best team in the nation to beat us and we still wouldn't go away.
But what keeps me up at night is why do THEY get the miracles? What do we have to do to get a few of those to go our way?
