At half time I was in line behind a lady in ou gear. She was waiting on her hot chocolate and started talking to me. Told me she liked our coach, thought he was really nice. That struck me as odd. Then she went on to say that when recruiting her son Gundy said "I'll take care of your son". Stoops never said that, all he said was "we'll win championships". Granted it would appear by her clothes that her son went to ou anyways.
Other than her and the friend of our seat-mates, the sooner fans I encountered were awful. The worst we've ever been around. One of them kept dropping the GD bomb when the sooners would mess up. When he wasn't saying that he was saying the F word. Then the drunk guy dancing all around making fun of our players when they would get hurt. The screaming girl whose voice made me want to slap her. Then their band ripped out one of the metal bleachers and was passing it up to thier fans. I hope Holder send them a bill for that one!

I was ripping a few GDs and F-bombs watching at home too to be honest. Especially on the tips, fumbles and bad decision interceptions.

I feel like personally cold-cocking the SOB Poke that sold their tickets in Sec 314 Row 20, seats 9-12!!
The obnoxious goons behind us said they bought them on Ebay.
Please Poke fans, if you're not going to Bedlam, THEN DON'T BUY SEASON TICKETS!@
You may have made a nickle for yourself, but you totally ruined my evening.

Well luckily I didn't have to put up with any goons during the game. But a superior of mine at my job did leave me a classy phone message. I lost a little respect for the man when he called my personal cell phone at 10:53 P.M. and his whole family yelled, "1. 2. 3. BOOMER SOONER, from the Holts!!". Absolutely pathetic and classless in my opinion. I would expect that from an uneducated person who never went to school there, but he's an alum for crying out loud.
And I'm sure that won't be the worst or the last of it for awhile as none of my colleages except for 3 actually attended uo and the others just buy a shirt and cap from Wal-Mart and that ain't no lie.

I just found out the COWBOY fan that i sold my tickets to, (when i found out my family didn't need them) GAVE them to a SOONER client of his. Are you freaking kidding me, there were SOONERS IN MY SEATS? I'm MORTIFIED.
I just sent him the nastiest email he has probably ever had, calling him everything but a white man. Man, i'm pissed, as i'm sure the people who sit around me think I SOLD TO SOONERS. Even OSU fans can be idiots.

I told a group of gooners to just leave. They kept saying game over, and I kept saying if the F'n game is over, get the F' out of my house! They calmed down a little.
The biggest a-hole of the bunch turned and said "We don't do that at ou."
And I said, How do you know? You're not a season ticket holder or you would be sitting with the 5000 ticket holders over there."
I must have been right cause he didn't have an answer to that. :ousucksnana: :ousucksnana: :ousucksnana: :ousucksnana:

I gave 3 in the donor section to a client of mine. He in turn gave them to his sooner family. He told me he did it, and he's a large client of mine. They were his, I gave them to him, and I couldn't really say anything. His business means a lot to my income, and that in turn means a lot to my family. It's just a game.
He probably won't get anymore from me for a bedlam game in Stillwater, but really what else can ya do?? I certainly didn't want to cut off my nose to spite my face. This guy is one of my largest customers.

When we went back up to our seats at halftime, there were 2 gooners sitting in my seats. They did move, but did everything they could to crowd me.
There were 2 more gooners (a dad and his 12 year old son) sitting there and the kid would turn completely around and scream towards us and everyone in our section whenever UO did something on the field.
Apparently an OSU fan had asked the kid to quit screaming in his ear and the dad told him "Don't ever tell my son what to do." He let the kid continue to scream like that the entire 2nd half.

I'd say get to know your clients a little better so that you can anticipate their behavior, then you'd know. He would never have known if you had offered those tickets to some other client of the Cowboy family pursuasion.

Annie,
While I was surprised to see OU fans in your seats, I have to say they were well behaved.
They didn't even really cheer when something good for OU happened. We talked to them quite a bit.
Overall nice people other than wearing OU gear.

Any of this should not come as a surprise.. I mean, I have seen all this and worse at past games that I have attended...
In fact, I found this out at an early age... when I was young (late middle school) I went to the OU/North Carolina game and of course wore my OSU hat to the game (I was a guest of my uncle who is an OU fan)... had several instances.... everything from an OU college student slapping the hat off my head.... had ice thrown at me... I mean come on...
OU fans...classy as they come...

Well, I just got to work a little while ago and I had a lady that has no affiliation with uo except for claiming she's a fan and she is 10 or more years older than me come in my office and I quote, "Ha ha ha my team won your team lost..." All I said was, "I could be rude and say something back, but I'm going to be the bigger and more mature person and let you walk out of my office right now." She didn't say a work back and just walked out with her mouth shut.

I'm dealing with the same kind of crap in my office. Only one out of the four giving me grief went to ou and he's been the sane one of the bunch. I've kept my mouth shut for the most part. Even hearing complaints that we got too many calls in our favor and that we were just lucky all night. WHAT!?!?!? The best has been the complaints that we pulled a cheap shot on Box... that we are just dirty players. Whatever dudes. I'm ready to tell all of them to pucker up while I bend over. You get the picture. Sheesh, can any of them be gracious winners?

Just point to your degree haning on your wall and ask them if they have one from ou...then tell them their boss is also an OSU grad and ask them if they are going to say the same crap to him??
Then tell Doug to fire their ass!!!!!

Jim, pm me who you are. I have no clue.
I'm glad they were well behaved, but i sold my tickets to a OSU fan who told me HE was using them. I just hate that the people i have sat around for years now think i sold to Sooners. I would NEVER do that.

My apologies to Jennifer for doubting her story. I got it confirmed by an OSU athletics personnel that "the Gooners, stomped and destroyed a bleacher in the northeast corner but did not take it out of the stands. There was even more destruction in the northwest corner! ‘twas quite a mess!"
I thought it was quite funny this OSU athletic professional called them "Gooners." Course, that's about the only funny thing about all this. This is what I wanted confirmed now when my ou sister-in-law who was in the the ou band asks me why an OSU player took a cheap shot at Austin Box I can say, "It is because he saw your dumbass band was tearing up our stadium!"

Am I the only one who remembers the little video test that I think it was KFOR did a few years back where they dressed up as an OSU fan and went to an OU basketball game and vice versa? The reactions and treatment were pretty much universal on both sides, so don't think that out s**t doesn't stink in this regards too.

I do remember the piece on KFOR, and that's not true. The OSU crowd treated the people dressed in OU gear much more respectful than the OU crowd treated the OSU people.

I remember that too, and I remember it the way you do. Most of the jawing from OSU fans was in jest to the stupid way the guy was dressed. He was in an outlandish get up at both games.
At the Bedlam game in norman, the officers/guards told the guy he might want to leave before he was hurt. He was also flipped off & threatened by squat students.
That didnt happen in Stillwater and the reporter even said so.
Every fan base has idiots, but dont even compare us to them.

Are you excusing the ou band for what they did because it is supposedly what the OSU band would do?

I was so pissed to see all the gooner fans in our section. We had a lady that looked like and acted like a meth addict just down the row from us that was just begging to be slapped. Of course us civil OSU fans did nothing to intimidate her... other than yelling "crack kills and meth kills" evertyime she appeared to have a seizure when her team made a play. But I just considered that a PSA to her. :)

I'd say your memory is a little foggy. The treatment by the squats in Norman was much worse.

There was bad treatment from both sides, with the reporting giving OSU the nod, but not by much. I was bringing it up not because of the band (They represent the school and should definitely be held to a higher standard and should be reprimanded by OU in my opinion), but rather because of some of the attitudes I see on the boards that act like we don't have fans that act in the same manner. No school has perfect fans, yet people act like their school does, and it drives me crazy when people act like we do.
