As I post, it is 2:39AM November 29, 2008--The Junkie left this world on Friday night at 10:17---he peacefully slept away at our home.
Due to the hour, we have not been able to finalize anything. We will know later today and we will share it with you all. Bill was bound and determined to make it to bedlam but God had other plans.
When we arrived home from last Saturday's wrestling dual, the front door opened and our daughter Christie arrived from Illinois to stay and help--what a blessing.
Our granddaughter Chanda and Christie decided to honor the Junkie, thus we are choosing to attend bedlam today--don't know how long we will stay but this is for the Junkie.
Hopefully we will see alot of friends this afternoon - we gals are pretty strong--we know our life will not be the same without the Junkie telling us what to do--he thought he was in charge--in fact he had won the discussion about his attending bedlam--permission was granted by two Hospice nurses.
We plan on seeing you later today--please save a parking place for us as we will be late afternoon arrivals.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately I never had the honor of meeting him but through this board I've got the distinct impression that he was a remarkable man. God bless.

I'm so sorry Jerri. I know how hard Billy was fighting just to make it to this game. We'll have a front row parking space saved for you and the girls at the tailgate.
We love you guys!!!

Our thoughts are with you in this time of loss; prayers to all Bill's immediate and extended Orange family. He will be at Bedlam, only rejoicing with us "on another shore and in a brighter light," released from all earthly pain and suffering... May you feel God's sustaining presence through this time and into the future.
Jerri,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family!
I know Billy's got the best seat there is for Bedlam and he'll be watching and cheering from above with a big old REAL Bud longneck in his hand!
Love,

I too never had the chance to meet Billy, although we PM'ed back and forth a few times about OSU wrestling, yet I sit here with tears in my eyes and a very heavy heart.
May God grant you and yours the strength to endure these next days and months as you adjust to life without Billy. And I echo those above, Billy will be at Bedlam today but with the best seat in the house. OSU has lost a great fan and an even better person.
It would be such a great tribute and ending to this Sat. night if the
Pokes would man handle the soonies and we could all say that
Junkie was smiling and helped in his way.
God bless the entire family and GO POKES!

I'm very sorry for your loss, and though I never met Billy in person I will miss him and I'm sitting here crying.
Billy is the lucky one as he'll have the best seat in the house today for the game and he'll get the priveledge of watching it with other great Cowboys that have gone before him.
God Bless,

I, too, never got the honor of meeting the Junkie but it was easy to see from the posts on this board that he was held in extremely high regard. Given the integity of the poster's on this board and respecting their judgement, I, too, held the Junkie in high regard. I am greatly saddened to learn of his passing and take comfort in the fact that he has gone to a better place. I pray for all of his friends and relatives as they grieve for the loss of a dear friend and family member.

I'm so sorry to hear that Billy has left this world, our world. He's now gone to be in the BEST place ever. He'll have his voice back and be surrounded with other loved ones and former Cowboys. His pain and suffering are over, and that's the only good thing to come out of this.
Lord, as we mourn the death of Billy, show us the immense power of Your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your Presence. Amen.

It's a sad day when the Junkie leaves us and my sympathies are with his family. I only knew Junkie from these OSU sports boards but I will miss him. He should be greeting many OA&M & OSU wrestling greats in Heaven at the moment.

Jerrie, I never had the honor of meeting you or Billy, but I am so sad for you ~ yet so happy that Billy is in a wonderful place with the best seat for every OSU sporting event. :-)
I pray God's blessings and divine comfort for you and yours. Warmest thoughts, :pete:

I will miss Billy with all my heart. He was a true Cowboy. I rejoice in the knowledge that he's with God now, and that he can breathe freely, speak freely and never have pain again.
P.S. Billy has got the best seat in the house for Bedlam today, though!

I'll always miss Billy and him kidding me and asking how I was liking married life. As well as his passion and commitment to our wrestling team and all other OSU sports. He's in a better place now and will be watching over you Jerrie, Christie and Chanda...
P.S. It was great seeing you 3 at the game Saturday!! I am so glad you came because that's where Billy would have wanted to be as well.

Everytime I saw Billy, he would ask me if I shot anything and then he'd hold up his hands to his head making a deer rack. Middle of March and he's asking me if I've shot anything. :D

I read this Saturday morning & talked about Billy with a few folks at the game & tailgate.
He had the best seats in the house Saturday. Just wish he could have tripped a few goons for us!
He will be missed.
My sympathies to your family.

I never had the privilege of meeting Billy but I remember him from the pic that Mr. OP posted. We don't make every home wrestling match but when we were there I always remember seeing Billy as his seats were close to ours. My sympathy to your family.
