Ibrahima Thomas made his fifth start for Oklahoma State in Monday's 82-36 win over Northwestern (La.) State.
His play was short-lived. The freshman forward lasted nine minutes.
Thomas picked up four fouls by halftime and fouled out with 17:50 left.
"He had to set a record for the most fouls in the least amount of minutes," senior teammate Marcus Dove joked. "That's something he has to work on."
Said head coach Sean Sutton, "I know we have had somebody with more in less minutes, but I can't think of who it was. I didn't realize that was his fourth foul. I thought he had two. Normally, we don't let that get away from us."
Rejection: Dove recorded two blocked shots to move into ninth in school history, with 74 career blocks.
Bench strength: Oklahoma State boasted a solid effort from its bench, outscoring Northwestern State's bench 26-11, led by Obi Muonelo (nine points, six rebounds and four assists).
First time ever: OSU is in the midst of a three-game series with teams from the Southland Conference (Texas-Arlington, Northwestern State and UTSA). It is believed to be the first time OSU has played three consecutive games against nonconference opponents from the same league.
Warner scores: Redshirt freshman Scott Warner recorded his first points and minutes of the season.
He logged two minutes and scored the final points with a Byron Eaton assist.
"I told Scott I was happy for him after the game," Sutton said. "He comes to practice every day, does his work. It was a reward for him. I really didn't want him to shoot the ball but Byron made a good pass to him."
Asked if he had been upset at anyone scoring, Sutton smiled and said, "Yes."
