Reid breaks silence

By MATT DOYLE World Sports Writer

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Bobby Reid did not play on Monday. The junior backup Oklahoma State quarterback did not say if he would return to the program next year.

Asked on the field after the win if he had made a decision about his football future, Reid shook his head, "No."

Reid then said, "I don't know what I'm going to do."

Reid was replaced by sophomore Zac Robinson as the starting quarterback after the Sept. 8 game against Florida Atlantic.

Did he not burn his redshirt? If so, isn't he pretty much up a creek without a paddle because he only has one year of eligibility left?

The only thing I think he could do is transfer to a smaller school or enter the draft as an (ath/WR). I really do like Bobby and wish he would have worked out, but unfortunately it didn't work out that way. I am extremely happy with what Zac has done and look for future success from him!!!! Let's keep it rolling into the off-season pokes!!! I already ready for our spring scrimmage...... it can't get here fast enough.

I wish Bobby luck in whatever he decides to do.

He has the build an athleticism to play. If he stays at OSU he will have to play another position I guess, if he is willing. If he moves on to a smaller school, I wish him nothing but good luck & hope he can one day play on Sundays.

You are exactly right PistolPete.... He does not have many options at this point...

He would have to either transfer to a smaller division school (which I really hope he does IF he does leave OSU) or go to the draft as an Athlete (which I am not sure if he is ready or not, having not really played much all year).

Of course, HE could always switch to defense or help out at WR since he is a good all around athlete... a certain other old QB for us did that and did a dang good job for us... BEING MULTI-SKILLED & BEING ABLE TO PLAY MORE THAN ONE POSITION CAN'T HURT WHEN TRYING TO GET ON AN NFL TEAM.
