This has become a weeknight staple at our house since i got it from a good friend. She had made a freezer meal out of it by putting the meat and all seasonings in a jumbo freezer bag and then freezing it. All i had to do was thaw and dump it into the crockpot.

3-4 pound chuck roast
1 can french onion soup
1 can beef broth
1 bottle beer
4 T Dale's Seasoning (liquid seasoning. Dark bottle with white label. Can be found near liquid smoke etc)
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Hoagie Rolls
Provolone cheese (optional)

Put all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for about 7 hours. Remove meat from juices and shred. Toast hoagie rolls. Put cheese on rolls if desired and melt briefly under broiler. Load rolls with shredded meat and use juice for dipping the sandwich.

Good and easy.

I got a fast version of this from Rachel Ray. I just by a pound of sliced roast beef....heat the beef broth and seasoning till nice and hot, and slip the roast beef in for just a minute. Throw on the rolls, dip in the broth.

More expensive using the sliced deli roast beef (rare), but quick and easy.

You deserve a dose of "Rachel's Clap" for that one. Gawd, claim the damned recipe as your own!!

Glad your mom liked it Michelle. Even Kari likes the meat and she normally only likes tacos, steak and ice cream.

Made it today, delicious!!!

Try adding some carmelized onions to the "sandwich".
